Blaarmeersen camping has what we needed. We spent one night in our VW California. 29€ We got a place close to bathroom/toilet. But we preferred another one, which was renovated. Cleaness average. The campside is lovely with trees, spacey places and is divided into smaller parts. But unfortunately you cannot avoid the noise from the motorway. Very helpfull staff and...

But now sadly, litter, over grown hedges, churned up pitches, shower blocks not cleaned often enough, don't get me wrong, this place is good compared to some but awful to what it was, two years ago it was spotless, but now lacking in daily maintenance. The picture is/was a path

Lovely site with everything you could want. Restaurant, chip bar, lake/beach with outdoor gym and kids area was brilliant. Different types of pitches, we had one which was quite tucked away and very private. Down side is i never saw anyone cleaning the toilets only emptying bins. Plus they seem to have a drainage/sewerage problem as smelt alot round ladies...

This was quite tricky to get too. Fortunately we had a good GPS and it took us right there otherwise if we had followed the campground instructions I am not sure we would have found it. It is set in a recreation centre and we were told reception staff were available until 9:30pm. It can be very disconcerting to arrive...

We visited Camping Blaarmeersen in April 2016. The receptionist was very welcoming and gave us more information about bus routes to the city. The campsite is very clean with plenty of facilities (launderette, showers, dishwashing with hot water, etc.) the ladies area was very warm, heating was on (although they switch off the lights in the evening so bring a...

When we planned to drive into Belgium, we decided early on we would not camp in Brussels for the following reasons; we were right in the middle of summer and the traffic in the city was horrible we’ve been to Brussels before, it’s a small city and wanted to explore the surrounding cities this time. So we drove from Breda,...

Arrived in Gent unplanned, looking for a place to stay, our GPS pointed out Blaarmeersen so we gave it a go. So glad we did, this place is ideal. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, the grounds are superbly maintained, being inside the local sporting complex you have access to a massive range of facilities and recreation areas. Bus service to...

We have been on numerous occasions and always stay here, only site in Ghent anyway. As others have said excellent sports facilities around the site though we have not used them ourselves. Good bus into Ghent 6 euros still. The facilities are a little dated as others have said, but do the job fine. There is a huge lake with...

We found this site after reading an article in a motorhome magazine. The site itself was clean and adequate. The bathroom blocks left a little to be desired but the access to Ghent was fab. A 10 minute bike ride and you're there!! Lovely town!!

Just returned from 6 days . Positives .. Private pitches. Fab activities for all ages. Swimming. Rock climbing. Tennis . football . volleyball. And lots more Showers were OK. Negatives. Quite tight to get into our camping spot. Easier getting out. Maybe bad luck but 2 days were spoiled by the noise of hedge trimmer and lawn mower. Impossible to...
