This was a fantastic place to stay. The house is meticulously restored with beautiful period detail and alive with history, including our room with its 19c fresco and ornate plaster around the fireplace.. not your average B&B and all made for a wonderfully immersive stay in Bruges. Spacious house with outside terrace, lovely sitting room with honesty bar and more...

I travelled to Bruge with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. We had an amazing stay at Huis 't Schaep. The host is lovely and knows all the little shops and restaurants you always miss when you visit a city for the first time. Also the rooms are very spacious and the decoration looks great! If someone would ask me...

Must be difficult to live up to the expectations of previous guests, but they did! Everything from the very warm and personal welcome, beautifully decorated suite, to the most wonderful breakfast and the genuine desire to ensure our stay was everything we could wish for - made for a break that will be remembered. Worth that little extra expense -...

We stayed in the Rubens Suite for our honeymoon. We were considering the honeymoon suites in the big hotels, but my wife wanted the special attention of a small luxury hotel. And oooh did she get it. When checking in, we were received liked royalty by our host. When entering the room we were amazed by the most spacious honeymoon...

A romantic and overall fantastic guesthouse. After a warm welcome by John he showed us our room for our weddingnight: the Rembrandt Suite. The room was big, clean, romantic, historical and the bed was pure luxury. John told us a lot about the history of Huis 't Schaep and about sightseeing and dinner/lunch possibilities in the city. In one word...

If you are looking for a cosy, elegant and old-fashioned accommodation with great service you should definitely visit Huis t'Schaep. It is very quiet although it is in the very center of the city. If sleep is important for you then these high quality boxspring beds will make you smile and maybe also oversleep (like it happened to us). The...

This superb guest house lives up to all its glowing reviews, from the warm and unhurried welcome to the moment you reluctantly take your leave. The "house of the sheep" has a wonderfully calm atmosphere in the midst of a busy city, and John has the knack of being helpful and extremely interesting without being intrusive. His advice about new...

A truly great guest house. Restored with style and grace. John and Rob are superb hosts and left nothing to chance. Great room, Rembrandt Suite and delicious breakfast. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. Situtated close to everything we wanted to see and do, so no extra taxi fares or bus trips across town. We will...

Huis't Schaep is a wonderful B&B and I highly recommended it to anyone traveling to Bruges. The building has been beautifully restored and our suite was comfortable, spacious, elegant, and memorable. The breakfast was generous, well-prepared, and provided a range of options. Our host (John) was consistently helpful, pleasant, and accommodating and our only regret is not having scheduled another...

After arriving back from Bruges after a short trip via the Eurostar for a two night stay at the Huis 't Schaep, I can honestly say I have been blown away by the place. A short walk from Bruges train station we arrived at Huis 't Schaep to the most warm welcome. John was informative and gave us a map...
