Gorgeous hotel, one of the best I've ever stayed in. High vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms and a balcony overlooking the Christmas shoppers, really good for doing the Christmas shopping. Breakfast was plentiful and to a high standard.

we've stayed here on a number of occasions and would recommend the canal view rooms which, obviously, overlook the canal, but also are quiet and modern rooms nicely furnished. The staff are friendly but non intrusive and the breakfasts are very good.

Bruges is a fabulous city at any time of year but can get swamped in summer. I enjoy this city far more on a freezing sunny windless day in January knowing I have a great warm hotel room waiting for my wife and me in the city centre. One can often get great deals and 2 nights B&B including Eurostar...

6 of us stayed here over the Christmas period. What an amazing hotel. Rooms are clean and beautiful, in fact the whole hotel is spotless. The whole hotel was decorated for Christmas with massive Christmas trees which looked magical. The bar was lovely and warm with comfy chairs to relax on and the hot chocolate was incredible. The staff were...

The Hotel is as seen on the pictures. Romantic, clean, luxurious. Located in the centre of Old Town. Two Buildings. One modern and one traditional. Both perfect. The staff was polite and helpful. Special thanks to Julia. Breakfast was ok. Tasty but not in great variety. All in all, the Hotel is overpriced as are all the hotels in Brugge. For...

We booked a weekend in Bruges to enjoy the Christmas spirit and were completely amazed by the quality of the Grand Castleburgh Hotel. The bedrooms are very comfortable, well appointed and easily accessible , no long walks down endless corridors . The two elegant drawing rooms are very welcoming and comfortable and are covered by excellent staff who ensure the...

Nice hotel very near main square. Would look to stay again. Good breakfast, rooms nice and very clean. Good location. Car Park expensive at Euro 25 per day, take a five minute walk and its less than 10 per day.

If you have a little time for the detour, Bruges is well worth a visit just for the chocolate and a sample of well-made beers (and the architecture linked to the history of pilfering from colonies too, of course!). The smokers' area at the main entrance to the hotel has to go :(
