Unimpressive. We booked (and confirmed) a Saturday night "romantic double room" only to find the room had two twin beds pushed together with separate single duvets but a single bedcover over the top. Too late to change we mentioned it (politely) at checkout (after waiting 15 minutes for someone to show up!) and were told "two single beds is what...

Only the unbelievable rain, lightning and then a train strike could detract from a really lovely 3 night stay in the excellent Montanus. Service was always responsive and very helpful, the room (7) was comfortable and designed to be accessible for disabled guests and the setting tranquil. The grounds of the hotel take it beyond expectations and were the weather...

We chose Hotel Montanus for a weekend away with friends. We had rooms in the main building. The welcome was more than friendly and very accommodating. A lot of information provided, including ways to minimise parking costs. The hotel itself is very pleasant. Understated modern elegance with a beautiful garden. Our room was ample sized, a calming place with all...

This hotel was booked by my fiance as a surprise for Valentines Day!! We stayed in a little villa in the garden and it was absolutely perfect!! The staff were extremely helpful, and made us a hot coffee when it started to rain!

Very friendly and helpful staff, great location close to the main square. The free tea and coffee in the sun lounge was nice, Rooms were spacious and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone considering a visit to Bruges.

Stayed in this hotel for Tour de Flanders weekend. It's a short walk from the start and main square so ideal. Hotel was really nice and staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble and they accommodated 13 of us and 10 bikes. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Bruges. Highly recommended

This trip was a birthday present and the hotel was found through Groupon, but with the extra payment for weekends not a 'deal'. The room turned out to be the garden shed, very quiet and pretty big. It reminded me of the typical Danish summerhouse and was rather unexpected. Other guest would need to walk pass your window to get...

Although it's not in the centre of Bruges, it's in a great place as you don't hear any of the pedestrians. It has a brilliant restaurant and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I would stay there again

Excellent location, just a ten minute walk to the main square - this meant we were able to come and go as we pleased. Our room was located in a separate building which overlooked the gardens, was well equipped and spacious with a good modern bathroom and waterfall shower head. Good toiletries too! We made use of the free tea...

I stayed one night here, comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. Restaurant is lovely for dinner and the breakfast was well prepared. Tea was also complementary in the afternoon, but I didn't get a chance to experience it. Great location in Bruges, quiet but close to everything. Lovely hotel and I would definitely recommend. Staff were ok, a little snobby, but overall...
