Our room was at the top of the hotel and was a good size but a little cramped because of beams running through the middle of the room. The bathroom was on the small side, but it was clean and the shower was very powerful and hot. The TV had a wide range of channels. The lounge bar and breakfast...

We booked a double and single room for 3 nights via Airmiles before looking at Tripadvisor and reading the negative comments. We were relieved to find our rooms on the 3rd floor to be more than adequate for our short stay. The room facing the back was very quiet but there was noise in the street from a bar/club near...

This hotel is perfect for a short stay in Bruges. It is just minutes from the main square and all the tourist attractions are within a short walking distance. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom was big and the breakfast was very good. It's not ultra luxurious nor does it have a leisure centre but if you are only...

My girlfriend and I stayed here on a weekend trip to Bruges and were very pleased with the accommodation the hotel Hans Memling offered us. Our room was on the second floor and despite being given two beds pushed together the room was large with a clean spacious bathroom with a reasonable sized shower and bathtub. The area is quite...

I stayed here for 3 nights in may 2008 with a girl friend for a girly few days away together. the hotel was very centrally located to the main square and the belfry etc but far enough away to not be noisy. We had a room on the top floor with twin beds that did have beams running through the...

We stayed at the Hans Memling in December for the Christmas Markets. The hotel has a fantastic location and you can walk everywhere. The rooms were plain and simple but clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Breakfasts were lovely...buffet style with scrambled eggs, bacon, cereals, croissants, pastries, tea and coffee. A great base for a stay in Bruges.

The Hans Memling is a pleasant hotel, very well located near the main square of the town but off the main drag. It is comfortable and clean although not perhaps stylish. The staff are very helpful. The breakfast is ok but not wonderful. The bar provides a nice place to sit in the evening. My room was an attic with...

My wife took one look at the hotel and knew we were in for an adventure. The receptionist checked us in, and we asked if we could have a double bed, she said that none were available, but we would get two singles pushed together. She then warned us to take the back elevator, as the one up front was...

We were more than happy with this hotel. Though the 'outside' rooms can be noisy (bin lorries, buses) this didn't trouble us at all. The staff were excellent, helpful and courteous, and all spoke good English. It's walking distance to the main square and all the restaurants available there. You can save on a taxi back to the station, too...
