This hotel has a very good location. But the room is old, dirty (the moquette and furniture was filthy but the sheets and the bathroom was ok), it smells bad and the bed was uncomfortable. This would be ideal for young people who want to sleep in a hostel-like hotel and want to save money, but the room rate is... More

Rooms were dirty and cramped, for what we paid felt very ripped off. Breakfast was ok and location easy for walking from train station or into the centre of the old town. Fine if you don't plan on spending any time in the room, very poor access for people with disability.

My room (No.2) overlooked the canal on a traffic free street. The owner is really friendly and helpful and gave me a map and advised me to visit the less touristy parts of Bruges which was fantastic. The breakfast was plentiful, the usual continental but with pancakes every morning. The hotel is an old building which has been 'modernised' many... More

Just come back from a two night stay at the Ensor. Very disappointed at the standard of cleanliness of the room, very dirty. Pillows very dirty. Toilet seat needed mending, Lino floor had not been swept or mopped, others peoples dirt was visible on the floor, which stuck to your feet and got took to bed!! Also the rooms were... More

The hotel is located on a quiet street that runs alongside a canal and is only a few minutes' walk from the main shopping area/market squares and sites. I found that it was best to use the nearby underground car park as I found parking very limited within the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The Hotel has rustic charm; I... More

The room was decent size but the lighting was inadequate. The bathroom had no shelf or anywhere to put hygene articles and there were no hooks to keep your towels off the floor. Had to put my makeup on by the window because the lighting in the bathroom was so low. The shower was fine. The room decor had seen... More

We visted this hotel for three days in September 2012. The owner was delightful and very welcoming. He even changed our room so I could use the lift and not have to walk upstairs when he saw I was limping !!! The room we had (No 6) was large with dual aspect windows overlooking the canal. We even had an... More

this suited us perfectly BUT be warned, this is a very BASIC (and not so clean) hotel. If you are there for a few nights and you only use it for a place to sleep rather than chill out then it's ideal. We are a same sex couple and there was not even a hint of a raised eyebrow so... More

It has clearly been a while since this hotel has been renovated. Lots of doors don't work and getting in the lift was a worrying experience. The furniture and layout is a complete mismatch. The whole place could do with a deep clean too. We had the only room with a balcony (Room 5). It was warm but the wifi... More

This hotel is located on a very quiet street bordering a very pretty canal. It is a short walk to all attractions. We had the only room with a balcony and the view was charming. That sums up the good points. The room was small and dreary. Heat did not seem to be controllable except by opening windows. The bathroom... More
