The location is great, with it's beautiful canal views. The hotel and it's interiors of dark wood, classic paintings, tapestries and the smells of it all feel very authentic. It does seem that a few updates could be attempted. The bathing area had a raised bathtub under a low

Hi Rodney Thank you for your review, we appreciate the feedback. We're doing the best we can to renovate our hotel, but since the building dates back to the 1640s, it is UNESCO World Heritage and therefore we can't do as much as you usually can. In any case, you're always welcome to come back to us at any time. Perhaps for dinner? Kind regards Duc de Bourgogne

Although the hotel is getting a little tired, it remains an excellent place to spend a few nights in Bruges. The location is marvelous and ask for rooms overlooking the canal. We had a very nice and spacious deluxe room which was also excellent value for money, We ate just once

Thank you for your review, Anthony! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Some parts of the hotel definitely haven't aged that well. We acquired the restaurant/hotel about three years ago and we've been continously renovating parts of it because initially it was in horrible shape. We're not entirely there yet, but we hope to continue our efforts of the last three years In any case, you're welcome to come back and stay with us at any time! Kind regards Duc de Bourgogne

We were staying in Bruges for a week over the Christmas break and wanted something really special for our Christmas Day lunch. We've tried most restaurants as we visit Bruges regularly and we've dined here previously. We booked a day or two in advance and selected a table in a

We wanted to have lunch at the restaurant but found the head waiter was rude, arrogant and made assumptions about us as patrons. He did not think we were going to spend enough money for his so called fancy table cloth-his words. I would not recommend this restaurant there are

Rude, arrogant and dismissive staff in the restaurant. Over priced menu and rules about what you can and cannot order. I wouldn’t bother. Plenty of other nicer places nearby, don’t waste your time here

Hi Mat There's an underground parking lot close to the hotel. It's called "InterParking Pandreitje" and the fee amounts up to €8.70 per day. From that parking, it's about a 5 minute walk. The cheapest parking lot is at the train station of Bruges, but that's about a 20-25 minute walk. The fee amounts up to €3.50 per day. Have a nice stay! Arnaud

Hi, I'm sorry I don't know anything about the public transport in Bruges as we took a taxi from the station to the hotel and back again. Very reasonable, about E7, and very quick. Enjoy - it was a lovely little hotel and the staff were very helpful. Helena
