BRYGHIA HOTEL, its building located in part of the original "Domus Osterlingorum", has always been an important part of Bruges' history. During the Middle Ages it was the most important of 4 trading houses of the German Hanseatic League and in the mid 20th century it became a hotel, with only the coat of arms of the Holy Roman Empire hanging above the doorway as a reminder of its rich past. In 2018 the property and the hotel were acquired by the Vanrenterghem family and under their impulse a grand programme of refurbishment has been undertaken to restore the hotel to its former glory. As a family owned hotel we believe that our staff make BRYGHIA HOTEL a truly special place to stay at, with unrivalled hospitality services and impeccable standards of care and excellence. Every member of our team has been selected because they aspire to uphold those values and strive to offer our guests a warm and intimate atmosphere with highly personalised service.

A warm welcome from the owner and a chat about some of the places to visit in the city perfectly started our stay at this lovely hotel. We'd paid the small premium for a room with a view over the canal which was nice. The room was very clean - not huge but more than adequate for

I accidently booked the wrong nights through Hotels.com. When I tried to change it Hotels.com said they contacted the hotel and they told me the hotel was difficult & I couldn't do this without a crazy high fee. When I contacted the hotel directly, they couldn't have been nicer

We had a very enjoyable stay in this pleasing historic building. The owners were very friendly, relaxed and helpful (this is a family-run hotel not a chain), everything was clean, rooms light and airy, and there were nice touches like towels elegantly twisted into swan shapes

This hotel is a gem! This hotel was one of three hotels we stayed in during our fantastic visit to the beautiful city of Bruges. Our room was small yet sparkling clean and bright with beautiful windows looking out to various views. The hotel is located on a quiet street in a

Lovely hotel situated right in the old town overlooking a canal. The management are super helpful, clearly very proud of their beautiful city and are willing to give detailed information on places to visit etc. Breakfast was very nice and as a seasoned traveller I'd have to say

Dear Jo, Many thanks for your question! The hotel has recently reopened under new management and has undergone refurbishment. We are happy to say all beds and mattresses have also recently been replaced and now offer our guests a far superior sleeping experience. As for the taxi fees, these will normally be around €7 to €10 depending on the time of day. I hope this has answered your questions, if you are ever in Bruges again, do not hesitate to get in touch with us! Kind regards, Steven F. Vanrenterghem Owner

Dear Jo, Many thanks for your question! The hotel has recently reopened under new management and has undergone refurbishment to better accommodate our guests in the future. A bus journey from the railway station in Bruges takes about 20 minutes. Tickets can be bought on the bus so there is no need to buy a travel card in advance. I hope this has answered your question, if you are ever in Bruges again, do not hesitate to get in touch with us! Kind regards, Steven F. Vanrenterghem Owner

How much is the parking fee 9overnight0 and what is name of the car park?
Dear Richard, Many thanks for your question! The hotel has recently reopened under new management and has also undergone substantial refurbishment. We have three underground garage boxes at our disposal (5 minutes' walk away from the hotel). Securing one early is essential as they are very popular with our guests and parking places in the city centre of Bruges are limited. The current price we charge is €10/night. Keys can be picked up from the reception desk. I hope this has answered your question, if you are ever in Bruges again, do not hesitate to get in touch with us! Kind regards, Steven F.
