The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is just 5 minutes north of the market square. You are close enough to hear the bell tower every morning. Staff were friendly although no one is around after 6pm so be sure to ask for anything you need before then. The room we were allocated had all the basic facilities and...

Based on other reviews, we expected a basic hotel at a good price. We were very disappointed. Basic was understated. The room was more like a dorm room, minimalist furniture, bare walls, folding door on the bath, even a blue plastic folding chair. Really? This was not what we expected at all. Simple we will do; utilitarian, no. Felt like...

Hotel Nicholas offers simply furnished but very clean and neat rooms for a great price. The common areas, including a small but well-stocked library of travel books and a sunlit breakfast room, feature the same. That the hotel is so convenient to all of the walking sights in Brugge's historic center makes it even better. The owner is more than...

We were booked into here by another hotel. We wouldn't normally pick this sort of place to tell the truth, but actually, we had no problems, the owners were very friendly and helpful and all in all excellent value for money considering the hotel next door charges many, many, many times the price! Great location.

I went to Bruges with my Mother. I wanted to save a bit of money on the hotel which we could spend on eating out - Bruges is expensive - so before we arrived I was a little concerned about what the hotel would be like. - It was absolutely fine, not luxurious but comfortable. We stayed five nights and...

Just off the main market square you will find the Hotel Nicolas. A small family run hotel, which offers comfort, excellent location and fantastic value. Its quirky decor and the wonderful couple who own this hotel make it truly a wonderful place to stay. They go beyond the call of duty to make your stay the best possible. We bought...

We stayed 3 nights in September. This is a very plain hotel but very comfortable and the location couldn't be better - one block from Markt Square. The staff were very accommodating, the room was very clean. The bed was 2 twins pushed together and didn't look promising but it turned out to be very comfortable! There was plenty of...

I stayed for two nights in the first week of September. The location is ideal, the price is reasonable and Thomas (who runs the hotel with his wife) is beyond helpful. The included breakfast is a little buffet of cereals, breads, meats, cheese and you can have orange juice plus coffee, tea or hot chocolate. A good start to the...

We enjoyed our 2-night stay here and found everything to be perfectly adequate for a low price. The staff who checked us in were friendly and accommodating, watching our bags for us before the room was ready. The room itself had an interesting design with carpeting extending into the ensuite bathroom, a gorgeous and huge painting above the bed, and...

Very Friendly staff, with helpful tips on restaurants. Small room and bathroom, but has hot water, firm mattress, and clean sheets and towels. Huge windows overlook cute little side street.
