Nice hotel, comfortable room, easy access to Ypres centre. Stayed in the old part of the hotel, had asked for a disabled room for my mother, and got what we asked for. The rooms were spacious and airy, and very clean. Stayed for 2 nights, and breakfast was the typical continental style, a little busy for our taste, but the... More

Originally booked for one night but would have been happy to stay for three, had they the room. Probably best book if you want to stay here! Plenty to see in this area if you have an interest in WW1. The hotel is situated on the site of a former chateau which destroyed in the fighting. The hotel is clean... More

We had a choice of a room in the old part or the new. The newer part has larger rooms but the old part is much more quaint. Outside the hotel are old WW1 trenches which you are free to wander about at no charge. Better value than some of the trenches that you have to pay to visit. We... More

This lovely hotel is in a great location for visiting WW1 memorials. They even have trenches and a bomb crater in the grounds. Fabulous rooms with antiques, modern bathrooms. Lovely staff who, could not be more helpful. Thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel in Belgium which is one of the most welcoming (and cleanest) countries I have visited. Don't miss the memorial... My wife, daughter and I stayed here for one night on a stopover back to the Channel Tunnel. We had a room in the modern block next to the old building. The facilities were good and the beds comfortable. The hotel is convenient for battlefields (the Hoog crater is in the grounds and cemetery across the road) and the Menin... More

Occupied 2 rooms, single very small but double adequate. Only hand held showers in baths and very easy to slip. Staff very helpful. Good Continental breakfast but would have like soft boiled rather than hardboiled eggs but good for picknic! Had dinner one evening which was adequate which is more than can be said for another restaurant-L'Epoque in Menin-service rude... More

Beautiful small hotel with history within its grounds. Great rooms and very friendly staff. Very clean and full of character. Of all the hotel's we stayed in during our trip this was our favourite. Good food and inexpensive drink added to the charm. Many thanks to the owner's and staff for a memorable stay.

Our family stayed here when visiting the WW1 trenches and it was great choice. The crater and trenches in the hotel grounds were very interesting and all the local sites very accessible. The historic town of Ypres is close by. The hotel is typically Belgium French and although a bit shabby, has lots of charm. It was also comfortable and... More

My father and I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2016, and we quite enjoyed it. Our room was inside the main structure, so I suppose it's a bit older, but I found it charming enough, and very clean. The hotel has a small restaurant, and we ate there one night. It was perfectly serviceable, although not with the... More
