Hotel facilities not good this was a groupon but we did not expect to be staying in the courtyard stables accommodation which was away from the main hotel and had to climb stairs to the rooms. Having had a hip replacement was not aware we would have to climb stairs with our suitcases and to have to walk from the...

Had to log in to the wifi for business, I couldn't, was slower than dial up despite advertising 'fast free wifi' My wife went to see the receptionist to enquirer...

Went with friends for the Victorian Christmas market; held indoors, with lots of different craft stalls, pottery, pies, cakes and all sorts - can highly recommend for next year. This place is a hotel and conference centre, open to the public and what a place! Looking from the outside I thought I was visiting somewhere like Hogwarts! The gardens are...

Booked a visit for my wife and daughter and just received the following from my daughter --- Quote Just wanted to say thank you for the hotel stay on Friday night, what a wonderful hotel. Visited on a groupon discounted offer and as such excellent value - a super stately property in a great setting but I think it only fair to record the ups and downs of our 2 day stay. Friendly reception by invariably nice staff but the first room we were offered in the courtyard accommodation had two single beds pressed up...

Very pleasant Christmas Fair. Good value entrance fee. Excellent variety of stalls and traders and very enthusiastic people in Victorian costumes. A lovely afternoon in terrific surroundings. Thank you.

I expected to be treated as second class when I arrived with a Buyagift voucher, but I must say that the receptionist gave us a warm welcome and initially, I was pleased with our Old Stable Courtyard room (no 45). It was spacious, with a nice en-suite and shower. But the illusion was soon shattered. Unfortunately, I noticed that one...
