We stayed in Albergaria do Calvario for one night on our roadtrip though Portugal. The hotel has an underground garage which is very convenient if you travel by car. The staff speaks very good English and was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is probably the best you'll have in Portugal. The owners are keen on honest and organic food,...

My husband and I stayed here recently for three nights ( November 2013). I wish it had been more! Situated in the walled city, it was perfectly located. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere there was very special too. It was relaxed and inviting. The breakfasts were great as were the light "tapas" that one could get...

From the moment we arrived until we drove away the hospitality of the employees and the owners was amazingly friendly and helpful. The food was very good whether it was the breakfast, tapas from the bar or dinner. The owners served breakfast and took the time to get to know all of the guests.

Great location. Delightful helpful staff. My wife rated the breakfast with home made cakes, pastries, and local produce, the best she has ever had. Cannot recommend more highly. The host charming, helpful and informative.

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 children, ages 5 and 7. We were immediately helped with our car and the service just got better from there. The staff could not have been more gracious and helpful. The decor is lovely - gorgeous, really - but also very comfortable, very home-y. The location is perfect for exploring Evora...

The perfect place to enjoy life. Every aspect is geared to the comfort and enjoyment of the guests. The staff seems to take pleasure in pleasing their guests. The rooms are large, we'll maintained and very inviting. We enjoyed the common areas, where strangers gathered and friendships were made. The breakfast, wow, was outstanding.

This charming hotel was in a perfect location within the walls of Evora, walking distance to all the sights, but also easy to drive to using our portable navigation, and with underground parking. The staff at the hotel really made the experience incredibly personal, with written recommendations for delicious local restaurants and the sights of the city. They recommended sights...

Without exaggeration, it is true that the staff at the hotel are among the most genuine and helpful we have experienced in our travels. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and also appreciated the small touches like the welcoming glass of wine, restaurant suggestions and delicious, locally-sourced breakfast.
