I visted Carvoeiro during my stay in February and the roof is now being repaired. It is unclear what other work is being done as I gather the condominium is short of money. I was told [so can't actually guarantee that this is fact] that Algarve Sol are not managing the building any more.

We stayed here for 1 week which was just right. The hotel is huge spread down the side of a cliff with 10 floors but 3 lifts. We were on the 9th floor which is level with the reception. When we arrrived we were dealt with quickly. The staff were all polite and spoke good English. The apartment had large...

A very depressing hotel experience indeed!! It is in a terrible state of disrepair and dirty. We stayed for 2 weeks, bed and breakfast. The breakfast was "buffet" style and the same breakfast was presented to guests every day for the whole two weeks. The apartment itself wasn't terrible although the furniture was basic. It's also on a hilltop and...

We were given an alternative room with air con just in main lounge area and not bedrooms! the fridge broke down and...

This hotel is very dated and in great need of modernisation. On arrival we were greeted with paint flaking from the exterior walls and an empty and flaking water fountain. The rooms are dated and not particularly clean. We had ants outside our room early in our stay, I reported this to reception - the girl said she was aware...

Let me start by saying, if you don't rent a car, staying in this hotel will be a challenge. The village is a long and difficult journey. It is not for the elderly or for people with young children. The building is old and the decor is old as well. It suffers from an distinct lack of ventination. Walking through...
