I stayed here for 5 days in the heat of July, and can't wait to come back. The hostel is beautiful and well thought out with compost toilets, fruit trees in abundance and well needed shade. Hammocks, dart board, guitars, it has everything you need to wile away the hours relaxing. I would recommend hiring a car as the beach...

We stayed for a weekend in this lovely place and we wish we could have stayed longer! First of all, although they offer you some perfectly detailed indications to arrive,we couldn't find the road, so we called and Stu came to pick us up to the village (Estoi). Once we arrived, Owl introduced as to the place: a very nice...

What an amazing place! Use the directions Stu and Owl send you because google maps and Sat Nav don't find the place and send you to the cemetery in Estoi. All the other way. Arrived at the hostel, Stu welcomed us, showed us our cabin and the whole hostel. Don't even think for a moment about dorms and crowded kitchens....

I spent 5 nights staying in the Owl House at this wonderful place. Don't be put off by the hostel in the name - all of the accommodation is provided in separate houses/cabins without a dormitory in sight! The Owl House is a beautiful cabin, with its own ensuite bathroom and a fully functioning covered kitchen and dining area outside....

Hammocks, drapes, table-tennis, pool, green, looots of green, animals, countryside, fresh breakfast, eco-toilets, projector, more hammocks...A little oasis in the quiet countryside of Estoi. So pleasant to relax there that you almost don't want to go discover the seaside. Plus, you will meet Stu & Owl: it was like meeting a colourful piece of family.

After a stressful period I needed to get away and just relax. I couldn’t have found a better place to do this than Eco Hostel Algarve near Faro. Stu and Owl are the most wonderful hosts. Their hospitality is exceptional, as is their knowledge of the area. I stayed in the Villa Ganeesha hut, a small replica Goan co-co hut...

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at Villa Ganeesha! Awesome unique vibe and surroundings. Stu and Owl are great hosts who made us feel like home and gave us a tour of their lovely gardens with tons of herbs, fig trees, apple, pear, almond, peach and plum trees amongst others. They were really nice, hospitable and have even invited...

From the moment we arrived we knew we were gonna have a good time. The hostel is full of charm and character, and is extremely social, hammocks, group tables, games and an honesty bar. We had just come from sintra, staying at a bed and breakfast that was a little regimental in nature, so EHA was just the tonic, with...
