We picked this hotel because of it's location, we stayed overnight to then catch the train to Tavira. The train station is a very short stroll away. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good and plentiful. We would stay here again if we went back to Faro. Thank you.

We got a great deal on this hotel and couldn't understand why the reviews were so wide ranged. The bad the hotel is located in a run down area and could clearly do with being updated. BUT It is spotlessly clean and only around 7 minutes walk to the lovely Marina which is surrounded by shops, cafes and the walls...

Residencial Afonso III is an old, traditional style hotel very close to Faro train and bus stations, walking distance even with heavy luggage. The area does not seem inviting near a derelict factory and old abandoned commercial premises but apparently they're heritage buildings. The room at the back had no traffic noise and was very quiet. Beds and furniture are...

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, would definitely stay here again. A bit noisy at times at the front of the hotel as it's on one of the main routes into the city centre, but no big deal for me personally. Close to the train and bus station, short walk to Faro centre and to the Forum Mall. Fantastic choice of...

I have to say, I'm very impressed. Can't understand people who are complaining about it! We paid 100 euro for 3 nights in a double room, with a balcony and a private bathroom. It's dated and basic, but spotlessly clean. Staff are helpful (Jose was very good) and the breakfast is perfect :) Coffee, lots of types of tea, cheese,...

The young lady who signed me in the evening before I was to make an early start, was extremely helpful and pleasant. The young man who was on the morning shift was entirely different. He was arrogant bordering on rude when I asked where I could leave my bags while I had breakfast. After breakfast he was nowhere to be...

The hotel is much too expensive for what it offers. The rooms were super small, bathroom also. They advertise that they offer view on Ria Formosa but our room (and I believe every other room also) was facing an old tumbling factory. It was absolutely not possible to sleep with opened window due to the traffic road. But breakfast was...

I stayed at this hotel for one night after a late Ryanair flight to Faro. The reception was very friendly, clean & comfortable room, reachable by €2-3 bus from the airport. It's also super close to train station for onward travel to the algavre beaches. Restaurants nearby and short walk to town centre. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Lost...
