Perfectly located between Salema and Lagos, this B&B was exactly what we hoped it would be. We stayed in the Garden Room which was the perfect size for any couple traveling. It is run by friendly Hilde, who speaks fluent English, German & Portuguese (at least!) and offers guests access to her small but lovely pool and secret garden -...

Hilde is a fantastic, very helpful and caring host. The rooms are nice with everything you need and the 10 minutes walk to the cosy and cute little village Burgao is fantastic. In Burgao you´ll find a great beach and some nice restaurants. Good breakfast, a nice little pool, a little forest of your own and stunning views just around...

Having read the previous reviews it is difficult to add much to the praise already lavished on Hilde's amazing B&B. Suffice to say it lived up to all the complimentary views expressed. Sitting at breakfast and looking out on the view of pool, pine woods and sea we felt a little like Richard Branson must feel on one of his...

You may ask having read all the previous reviews whether this place can be that good. The simple answer is yes and then some. Rather than waste time and space by repeating previous eulogies, please allow me to focus on the following topics. The biggest issue is finding the entrance - up a steep slope, turn right and right again...

When we arrived after a long journey we were immediately offered a cold beer. I knew it would be an amazing stay from that moment on. Hilde and Alba are the most friendly people you can imagine, nothing is too much trouble for them. The grounds are great, including hammocks, a pool and a terraced area. Amazing ocean views, beautiful...

Quinta da Nina is a beautiful family home. The 3 rooms are part of the main house but situated far enough apart to allow sufficient privacy, especially the Tower Room. We stayed in the Tower Room which has an enormous terrace with spectacular views over the pool and ocean beyond. The villa is in a fabulous location situated on the...

We have enjoyed our stay at Quinta da Nina very much. Great rooms, lovely breakfast, nice garden, fantastic view of the ocean and a nice swimmingpool. Loads of good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Besides this, Hilde and her son Marc are really friendly people who are running this great B&B.

This is a late review despite still raving to fellow travellers & to each other how amazing our stay was! We chose the tower room and weren't disappointed! It had an amazing view and we enjoyed drinking Portugese Red on the balcony whilst watching the sunset. Hilde is an amazing host. She really does make you feel at home. Breakfast...

My husband and I stayed there for three nights in August 2011. The location was really lovely and for this we recommend it BUT have some points to note: we thought, when we booked, the B & B was in Lagos, it is actually located in Burgau. If you like to go out early in the morning to enjoy the...
