We stayed at the Quinta do Mar for 6 nights in early May and couldn’t have wished for a better place from which to experience our first visit to the Azores. The Quinta is a delightful 4 room boutique bed and breakfast, set in lush gardens, with lovely communal areas including a pool, sunning terraces, and a pavilion with a...

The owners of this property, Chris & Nick, brand it as "the informality of a private villa, the comfort of a luxury hotel". That's pretty well spot on - a lovely place to relax and wind down. It is a former adega that has been converted and extended to provide 4 large, modern, comfortable en suite rooms with balconies and...

Tucked in the cliff by the fishing harbor of Caloura, this four luxury room inn features: a great view of the ocean looking south, pool and sunning area, pavillon with 24hour available munchies and an attractive garden. Very modern ultra-clean accommodations, firm soft beds, with pleasing touches of its rustic history. Chris and Nick are the most gracious hosts, expat...

We stayed at the Quinta Do Mar for 8 nights earlier this month, and we are already planning another trip back. The island of Sao Miquel is much more beautiful than we imagined, and the people are the friendliest we have met anywhere. Our stay at the Quinta do Mar only enhanced a great vacation. Chris and Nick were awesome....

The four rooms are in a separate block and all are ensuite, spacious, well equipped and comfortable including with heating & air conditioning. There are 4 terraces all with views across the ocean and sunny....

Quiet location close to superb fish restaurant. Hosts were charming and so helpful with local knowledge. Breakfasts simply amazing and room so comfortable. We stayed for 5 nights and would not hesitate in going back or recommending it to fellow travelers. The location is well suited for driving to other parts of the island and only a few kilometers away...

We stayed at Quinta Do Mar in October for 3 nights and could not have been more pleased with this wonderful little B&B. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. The hosts, Nic and Chris could not have been more accommodating and friendly. They really went way out of their way to assure that we were comfortable and that...

We recently booked to stay 5 nights here and ended up staying for the rest of our time on the Azores! Nick, Chris and Gilda have created a delightful boutique bed and breakfast venue that truly delivers its claim to give its guests the informality of a private villa with the comforts of a luxury hotel. We had a wonderful,...

We enjoyed our four night stay here immensely and hope to make it back for a future trip at a time of year when we could enjoy the beautiful pool. Nick, Chris and Gilda were delightful and very helpful when we had questions about the area. The breakfasts and service were delicious and the rooms were well appointed. The only...

We can only echo the comments made in the most recent four or five reports. This small, delightful boutique hotel fulfilled all our expectations. If we visit these islands again we will return to this hotel! Thank you for looking after us so well.
