Casa Morais is an old building that has been converted into a modern guesthouse. As other reviewers have pointed out, the hosts/owners are very kind and helpful, and their pride in the guesthouse really shows. The home is simply furnished and immaculately clean. There are common areas both indoors and outside that are available. A good fresh breakfast is served...

We stayed one night there and was actually shocked. It is like owners live there and make everything for themselves. An ideal room decorated with a great taste, a large bathroom with perfect lighting, spotless clean space, fast Internet. A very interesting, well-furnished, stylish common room (a hall) on the first floor. We used it for evening reading, yes!... Breakfast...

We stayed here for just 1 night and were so impressed!!! Rosa and Mary went out of their way to make us welcome? The guest house is renovated in an immaculate way and is so stylish, comfortable and modern. But what really impresses is the owners willingness to please and do that little bit extra. We were welcomed with coffee...

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Morais. The building and the rooms are well kept, unique and immaculate. The sisters who are the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and gave us a lot of great suggestions. We went to the restaurant nearby to try Leitao (the suckling pig) on their recommendation, and it...

We happy we choose this place. This is an old building but recently renovated and in perfect condition. Rooms give you really "home" feeling and they are big, bathroom has a bath top and it is of good size. We like country side places, so being out of town was a good thing for us. The owners (we meat two...

We read some of the other reviews, so it seemed like a good choice. It certainly was. The sisters' were charming and so interesting. The breakfast was excellent. We were only sorry that we were staying for one night before moving south. Within a five minute walk, there were a choice of restaurants, with suckling pig being the speciality of...

I was travelling with my parents and my dad chose this hotel. I have to say that I was really in doubt when my father showed me the pictures and location...but, we arrived there last weekend and I can garantee that I was really wrong! The owners of the hotel are 2 sisters that make everything for your stay to...

The expensive Quinta das Lágrimas was the only very good hotel available in Coimbra during my search and since it exceeded my planned budget, I opted for Casa Morais which is only about 5 miles away from the city center. This is an old inn, completely refurbished with all the necessary modern amenities. My choice turned out to be a...
