    The Pousada da Serra da Estrela is located inside the Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela, in Covilhã. The breathtaking views are of snowcapped mountains or the greenery of continental Portugal's highest mountains at an altitude of 1,993 m. Inside the building, the walls are pristine white, the ceilings are high and the traditional tiles are original and have been restored. You will also see fabulous old iron-and-wood elevators. Visit this work of the renowned architect Souto Moura, who restored the main structure of the old Serra da Estrela sanctuary. At the Pousada, you will find a Spa with a sauna, Turkish bath and heated indoor swimming pool. In summer, you can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and take a stroll through the gardens. The Pousada offers free parking, a restaurant and a bar, a game room and a Kids Club. The rooms each have a flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi, all with elegant decor.

    The location is good as it's 5 minutes drive from near town and 15 minutes to the top mountain in Portugal. The outside is nice, abandoned building recovered into a nice Hotel. A big in fact, too big. Room was OK but with not a feeling of confort i should expect from the place…

    Wonderful stay
    The hotel is beautiful and located in an amazing property, with a wonderful view of the cities below. It is however a bit far from it in case you need to go out to eat.The rooms are very comfortable, clean and also have a view.Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choices…

    Bom dia; Informamos que o transporte para chegar á Pousada e caso não tenha transporte prório, deverá ser de táxi da covilha até á Pousada, cerca de 12 Km. Melhores cumprimentos

    Estarei ai em janeiro e gostaria de saber se no caso de neve como é o acesso ao hotel
