This 4 star hotel has good sea view and if it was duly maintained could be a beautiful hotel. It needs a refurbishment and cleaning. The room was very big, warm and clean with a stunning sea view. The breakfast was a completely disappointment. We have been in 2 stars Hotels with more variety and quality that his one. Some bread and supermarket cake, butter and jam, mixed eggs and sausages and some season fruit (orange, banana and apples). A dubious orange juice and red fruits juice. Reception staff was very helpful and warm.
Very Lovely spot in the majestic beauty of Portugal. Dinner was amazing! But even though personnel was very professional, the location beauty and wilderness is what will amaze you. Thanks to all the staff, they where very helpful.
This hotel is situated in a fabulous location overlooking the beach. The hotel itself is very tired and dated, although some rooms have been modernised. We had a "superior" room, which was ok, but lacked basic amenities such as a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was buffet style, but the foodstuffs were not covered, although I did ask a staff member one day, and I was pretty much ignored. On one occasion we put a cover over some food, but a staff member removed it immediately. Flies were landing everywhere - not good food safety practice. We found one member of staff to be particularly helpful- Andrea on reception. She was friendly, efficient and professional - a credit to the hotel. The interior of the windows were dirty, although I do understand it would be impossible to keep the exteriors clean due to the location. In my opinion a lot of work and money needs to be spent in order to make this hotel a 4 star award building. It's a great location for surfers and that's the best praise I can give it. The bus to Cascais for 2 is €7.70, but you can get a taxi for approx €8.00 - well worth it. …
What a pity. I got married here 18 years ago and the place just does not look the same! This is situated next to one of the nicest beaches in the Cascais area, called Guincho. It has so much potential but it really looks like no money has been invested into it for the last 18 years. What a shame because the pool is so nice, the restaurant overlooking the beach is great but what a disappointment!
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The building is ruined and falling to pieces. The rooms seem abandoned for years - rust on the doors and in the bathroom on the taps windows that do not open, everything is dirty and the shower full of hair etc. The WiFi didn't seem to work at all in the room and we had to go down to the bar to use internet. We only went down the last morning for breakfast which closes at 10 at 9:50 the buffet was already emptied and the waiter told us that we couldn't have anything because it was to late.. At the bar in the pool there was a lady who refused to speak any other language than Portuguese and pretended not to understand any gestures neither, so needless to say not me or any of the other foreigners at the pool could order anything.. The only good thing was the view from the hotel and the pool that is on the beach. Last but not least.. at the check-out the receptionist insisted that we haven't payed the hotel even though we showed the receipt!! It is a real pitty because it could be a hotel of value.…
"water views are great but loud with the wind and the waves. Further out rooms have no wifi unfortunately as the signal is too weak."Read full review
