I don't seek luxury, but I value location and I like good value. We were in an old room but it was clean and comfortable. There are renovated rooms to be had that looked especially nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful so who...More
Chose this from booking.com. Very well located near Rossio station. 2 squares nearby are the terminus for a number of buses and trams, one of which takes you up to the gate of the castle. Room clean - furnishings look new.
Location is superb, staff is very friendly, cleaning service is very satisfactory, there's free wi-fi and television in the rooms but...the rooms are freaking freezing in winter as there is no heating.

The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used
to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
