This was an unforgettable place for me. The staff were very helpful and kind. The fellow travellers were so respectful and cool. The dorm room is set up perfectly to give you space and privacy. The upstairs and downstairs common area are beautiful oasis like spots with plants, hammocks, art, beanbags, etc. The breakfast was a really nice pancake setup...

Stayed here for 4 nights on a short trip to Lisbon, didn't expect much because of the cheap prices but pretty much everything was perfect. Every morning there's a great breakfast with toast, jams/nutella, fruit, cereal and freshly made pancakes. The hostel rooms themselves are spacious and clean and the garden and rooftop patio are well maintained and great to...

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, and a great place to meet travellers from all over the world. Free breakfast(and a GREAT one at that). Dinner is available for only $9, and sometimes the chef will even sing Fado for you! Comfortable and clean rooms. Quiet at night. Our favorite hostel of our Europe trip by far!

I already love the Alfama area in Lisbon and Alfama Patio made the area feel just like my home! Since I always have a great time walking around that area, finding this great hostel there was perfect! It' s a wonderful hostel to have the taste of a lisbon's patio. A dor and a corridor ending in a small place, all openair. There families live, talk, party. And part of it is a hostel. Small historic workingclass apartments, some of them with splendid view.

Located in the old part of Lisbon, there is a real travellers vibe at the hostel. Our double room was cosy and had a great view, but was a bit narrow. The showers were small as wel. During our stay, the showers at our floor were a few days without hot water (but we could use the showers at another...

What a great find of a hostel! The location is perfect, in the heart of the Alfama's characteristic back lanes. It can be a bit tricky to find the hostel, so having maps on your phone helps (ring the bell at the gate to get in the first time). The staff here was fabulous, giving out lots of advice, booking...

The staff here is so friendly, smart and helpful. I had a gigantic suitcase full of tile and one of the employees, Zoe, carried it up the stairs for me. I was so tired and grateful! Every single person that works here is a gem. They cooked lovely meals when we were too tired to go out looking for sustenance....

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
