We were there a total of 8 nights. We had a problem with a mix-up with another nearby hotel that we had booked through Expedia. The young lady at Riverside Alfama, Claudia, worked with us for nearly 4 hours to find a solution that worked for us and didn't cost us more money. In general, all the staff there was helpful and friendly. They answered all our questions about Lisbon and other places in Portugal with very helpful information. The breakfasts were very good. The hotel is centrally located, easy to walk to interesting places in Lisbon, and near to bus and tram stops if the attractions are further away. It is also within walking distance of a major train station. I highly recommend it.
It's a pretty hotel in Alfama located minutes away from the Commerce Square (Praca De Comercio). You can get trams and buses to other parts of the city from the Square. If you have Yellow Bus tickets, then the Tram tour starts from the square too. You can take the Tram 15 or bus 728 to go to Belem, You can walk to Rossio square, Chiado, the famous Elevator ride, and walk a short distance to take the Tram 28 to the Castle. If you are taking the bus from the airport, it stops at Torreiro De paco (stop 10) and it's a short walk from there. Their breakfast buffet is amazing - the best croissants I have ever had, Coffee and tea, Pastel de natas and other pastries, tiny crepes, cereal and milk, breads, fruits and yogurt, meat and cheese, eggs, sausages and sauteed mushrooms! Enough to keep me going for a few hours before i considered lunch! My room was on the 4th floor. It was clean and quiet. The front-desk was very helpful and shared all the information I needed to go around the city - places to visit and transportation. They helped arrange for a small-group tour to Sintra for a day, which was really good, considering the time I had. They also helped book a Fado show in Chiado. I liked my stay at the hotel.…
We where 3 of us little boy who has 1yr old. The room was last located at the back side of the hotel which you don't have a view but we don't bother for that, as we were out all day. The staff are great nothing to say they are very helpful nice and friendly. The breakfast was good too. We had full English breakfast. Eggs sausages mini. Bacon. Bread yougurt fruits sweets and of course we had the pastel de nata typical lisboa sweet. Yes i love too eat. The hotel is near metro torreiro de paco and if you can download the app bolt is cheap to arrive at the hotel for only 6euros. Metro is convenient from the airport too. Direct. The only thing is i had a problem with it is the noise coming from the floor above.. you will listen people steps like squeaky floor problem. And i woke up like in the middle of the night waiting for them to sleep. But anyways not on all the floors. We were in room 306. …
Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, they provided us with all information we need on tourist attractions and local transport. On request, they can give good advice on restaurant worth to visit. Room and breakfast are very good. Location is central, close to sights, cafes, restaurants and shops.
I chose this hotel because of his location, good reviews and the supposedly airport shuttle. Breakfast was great! No doubt there but they don’t have a airport shuttle as advertised in hotels.com and they won’t give you the room before check in time even if you ask. The rooms are very small too.
"Ask for a river view. The hotel was quiet through out. Arranged collection from Airport which was perfect."Read full review
"There is most light by the street, but also more noise. Be aware of that trade-off"Read full review
