A wonderful experience. For the sake of comparison, we are a couple nearing 70, and have traveled widely in Europe. We like experiencing the feel of a city from the inside and on foot. Even at our age, Micasa is located within walking distance of the center of Lisbon, the Alfama, and tram and metro stopping points and stations. The physical...

The location is excellent, perfectly accessible for discovering the city on foot - plus convenient for the airport. The area is very cool, with some fab restaurants close by (which the staff will tell you all about), while the actual accomodaiton is super cute and includes everything you might need. We stayed in one for the apartments, with our own...

I have not seen your review before, but I'm so happy to read it now. Graça is the perfect unknown in the busy Lisbon city centre, and it's nice to share it with our guests. Thank you for your nice words and review. Hope we can met again in the future!

We spent three nights at May half term in Vila Berta 2 on the first floor, very clean, very nicely furnished and two spacious double bedrooms and a large balcony overlooking this pretty street. We had the kids with us and there is a spare bed in the sitting room which was v useful when they were squabbling and spare...

This apartments were recommended to us by a friend who knows Lisbon very well. It was the best decision we could have made. We were a family of 5 (3 over 60 and a young couple). Although the apartment was not new, it had every detail, even more than we could hope for: there was lovely bread, cake, milk, tea,...

I am so glad I have found my special spot in Lisbon, and it has been a while since then but I always repeat and come back to this super accommodation. Managers are extremely friendly and maintain the highest standards over the years. Cool design with specially selected pieces of classical furniture, fresh flowers and generous breakfast at an unbeatable...

We had a moment of panic when we pulled up outside Mi Casa en Lisboa as it looked like a tiny private house on a slightly random street. However no sooner had the door been opened and we had been welcomed, than we felt at home. Our room was really lovely with beautiful wooden floors and trendy touches. The breakfast...

We stayed for 4 nights in this beautiful, charming location in Lisboa. It is located on a hill, close to the old tram, the castel and makes a perfect place to start exploring Lisboa. The rooms are clean and comfortable and come with a stunning view over the city. Outside the house is a small garden, where a healthy, homemade...

If you want to stay in a lovely house with the best view in Lisbon and are seeking something more personal than a hotel - then come here. It feels very special sitting on the private garden terrace and enjoying a freshly prepared breakfast - great home baking and different every day. Maria and Lola (her lovely little pooch) look...

This made a wonderful base for our week in Lisbon. It is easy to find - a walk of 10 mins (uphill!) from Rossio where the airport bus drops you off. There is no sign outside but you are in the right place! The house is quirky with artistic decor and interesting knick knacks around and a lively dog Lola....

It was not what we expected. Yes, we read all the rules and reviews. Yes, we knew it is a casa, private casa but still its owner decided to let people in for money. So, you never know until you try. We arrived to stay 2 nights in June 2012. We booked the Attic room and it was our key...

Dear Olga V, Thank you very much for your review and your complaint. In fact it would have been great to read it 8 months before, just after your short stay with us, as your comments would have helped us to improve the way we communicate with those requesting a room with us, even more, if the room requested is...

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
