When I came to Lisbon, it wasn’t for the city vibes but strictly because I had a good feeling about this place. I like to be in more remote places, but as soon as I entered this place, I knew I made the right decision. I immediately felt at home and forgot all about where I was. Truly a hidden gem. They have a quiet, beautiful garden in the back where you can enjoy the morning sun and a balcony on the top floor where you can see the ocean. And when it’s time for sunset, you can walk right out the door and see an amazing view of the city. But I have to say the most memorable part of my stay was the energy and kindness of the owners and staff. They really make sure their guests have the best experience. I can say now, that I found another home away from home and I can’t wait to return. It has been the perfect place to spend my last days in Portugal. I highly recommend staying at Tings - especially if you’re looking for a place that feels like home and not a standard hotel.

Being branded as the best one-star hotel in Lisbon is very modest. In the past 20 years, I have stayed in a lot of hotels, and this one is easily one of the best, easily surpassing many 4-5 star hotels. My wife and I planned to stay in different areas of Lisbon when we arrived, but after checking into Tings, it was an easy decision to stay right where we were. And the first time for me, ever, staying eight days in the same place on a holiday. Service is personal and friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious with lots of character. But the outside area is even better: a cosy little garden overlooking the rooftops of town where you can sit for hours enjoying a well-made coffee or a fresh cold beer. The reception is open all night, which is a good thing seeing the area has so much to offer. With several cool wine bars in the area and an excellent little brewery taproom around the corner, it's easy to get lost in the nightlife of the area. As a bonus, there is the best fish restaurant, I have ever been to, in easy walking distance from the hotel. I am not going to tell the name of it, as I want it to be kept a local secret. But ask the owners of Tings, about the address after check-in, and they might tell you. Highly recommended if you ever get a chance to visit this lovely place.

TINGS is PROBABLY THE BEST HOTEL IN THE WORLD ;-) - We have stayed in many hotels all over the globe - NEVER have we felt so much at home. TINGs is not only unique (all rooms are differently designed) - its so cosy, well designed and thought through that you not only feel home, but you also sense so comfortable since you kind of understand that everything is taken care of - and first class service you get as well - theater tickets are booked for you, so are taxies, advices given on where to go, WONDERFUL breakfasts - all different everyday - and can be taken in the most beautiful little garden. So thanks not only to the hosts Thomas & Anette but also to the entire personal who lovingly and smiling takes care of you. No doubt TINGS is PROBABLY THE BEST HOTEL IN THE WORLD - or at least in Lisbon ;-)

Tings Lisbon is a wonderful place. With an amazingly warm atmosphere, you'll find a variety of unique rooms, all with their own special theme. The space is cool, with interesting art. The hotel is located 50 meters from arguably the city's most beautiful viewpoint and is only a short walk from the centre. Thomas, Annette and the staff will welcome you with open arms and will be happy to help with any questions you may have and make great conversationalists.
