We stayed here for our 3 night visit to Lisbon and would definitely stay again. Excellent service from all staff in reception, bar / restaurant and room service. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything we needed, including hair dryer, toiletries, safe, flexible check out. Breakfast was good with a great choice, although I would have liked some fish options. There were a few lovely touches that added a little extra, two things in particular stood out. Firstly, on Saturday evening while we were changing to go out, room service knocked at the door and offered a complimentary plate of cheeses. Secondly, on our last day after we checked out we were offered the use of shower facilities after a day sightseeing before we left for the airport. The location of this hotel is great being fairly central but not too noisy.

We stayed at Corpo Santo Hotel for 3 nights at the end of June 2020.

The first thing tha t stands out is the impeccable service where eveeolyoje has a smile on their face and is willing to help you out in every way possible.

The rooms are very large and the molton brown toiletries are an added benefit.

Every evening they left treats in our room such a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate covered strawberries, delicious local pastries, etc.

Pedro was very lively and chatted with us during breakfast ensuring our stay was going well.

From a covid-19 perspective, the hotel is very clean and safe and the safe follow all local regulations to ensure guests feel safe. They also provide masks to you in case you don't have your own.

They have 2 daily walking tours which are free for hotel guests. They even have an ice cream shop outside where we can get 1 free ice cream everyday which was lovely, considering the hot weather in Lisbon.

The location is very central and everything touristy is walking distance.

The price we got the room was just over EUR 100 a room (with breakfast) which was beyond outstanding value. Would totally recommend it.

We stayed almost a week in the Corpo Santo historical hotel and enjoyed every minute. This hotel is unique not only because of it’s great location, and its nice & comfortable rooms but because of the excellent personal service you receive from Pedro and the staff your entire stay. But first of all, the location of the hotel in lively Baixa neighborhood is very good and central, near the river and near bus and tram stops. Very close to Commercio square (praça as square is called in Portuguese) and 15 minutes walk to Rossio square. As for hotel staff, well, from the second you enter this hotel the very kind and helpful staff makes you feel very welcome and at home. This is how we felt every day when we came back exhausted from hours of walking in Lisbon. The hotel makes sure you will never be hungry and is offering (free) healthy treats everywhere such as nuts and fruits to pastries, water and sweets in the reception and in each floor and inside the rooms. You are entitled to one free (& very good) ice cream in the ice cream place next door. The staff is very nice, professional, polite and pleasant and really takes care of every wish of yours from advice of places to visit, where you can hear authentic Fado music and were to eat. The hotel even organizes two daily (!) (free) guided walking tours (morning and afternoon) in the city and in the São Jorge Castle. I went on a very interesting 2 hours tour with Pedro, the nicest vice manager you ever met, and learned a lot from him including the fact that the hotel is located just above the ancient city wall in the -1 floor! Pedro is an exceptional man, full of knowledge and charm and he really makes sure his guests have everything they want. Pedro took us to see special things in Lisbon and to taste olive oil and sardines. I recommend going on such a tour with him. The staff is very helpful recommending places to go, booking taxies, showing you where to get a tram. Breakfast is excellent with such a variety of fruits, cheese, eggs, pastries, cereals, everything. The room was very modern and comfortable. Beds were excellent. Slept very well. There is an air condition and a modern rain shower with relaxing music and changing LED lights. Every day we found they left us in our room a little treat such a cake or fruit. The hotel has its own bistro (Porter bistro) with good food and you can go even after midnight for a glass of wine. The staff working in the bistro is really nice, too.
To sum it up this hotel is not one these standard alienated enormous modern hotels which personally I don’t like. It’s a special and beautiful hotel where you enjoy modernity, excellent services and also feel very welcome, as you feel the warmth and personal attention you get. I will definitely go back to this hotel!

We booked three rooms for four nights in July and thoroughly enjoyed the stay there. The rooms were well appointed (the musical showers were a surprise), the mini-bar was loaded and free, there were always water bottles in the lobby that we could pick on the way out, nice collection of teas, snacks, ice cream, etc.

Pedro at the front desk was very helpful and a joy to chat with. Nuno was always there for us, smiling and helping us in and out of the hotel. The staff arranged a surprise birthday for one of us during breakfast.

The hotel is conveniently located and is a stone's throw away from Pink Street, and close to Timeout Market, and walkable to Praça do Comércio. Right next to the hotel is Loja das Conservas where you can stock up on canned fish. There is also a small store next door where you can buy fine ear-rings and such for a song.

You will certainly appreciate the surprise in store for you when you go down to the -1 (minus 1) floor of the hotel, and realize how thoughtful the owners were in preserving the heritage when building the hotel.

If you are using Uber or Bolt, it is best to input your location address of a nearby store rather than the hotel so the driver can pick you up from the front of the hotel. You can ask the hotel staff about the same.

I would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with a convenient location and great staff to take care of your needs.

Glazing through the photos, it’s another well appointed hotel. But it’s the little details and the warmth of the staff, of guest services manager Pedro and his team who make the stay homely and memorable.

From Lisbon airport to Corpo Santo my wife and I got an Uber to the doorstep for EU8.42 so didn’t have a second thought about the airport bus or the metro.

Location ? Perfect. Walking distance to major attractions and it’s centrality makes it very easy to catch an Uber to further locations such as Belem etc

The hotel/property itself is relatively new, only 3 years old, rooms are very comfortable with a blend of wood and earthy colours which is welcoming back on a (mild) winters day. Sheets are high quality, you know the 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton feel about them. Molton brown toiletries are the little enjoyable amenities as well. Nespresso pods with creamer and water provided etc.

A simple yet significant gesture of the hotel is of the free walking tours (yes free and decline being tipped, not your gold coin/feel what’s its worth donation at the end) in the morning and afternoon at 10:30am and 4:00pm respectively which take different routes of the city. We were lucky to have had Pedro host us on both tours and gave a very personable and amusing perspective of the capital.

The lobby always welcomes you back with water, still or sparkling as well a variety of 4 rotating juices/coloured waters to tickle your fancy. In the morning it also has a coffee/tea table to get you off to a good start in the morning if you already haven’t stuffed yourself with the free full service American/international breakfast spread. Pedro’s secret menu is eggs benedict apart from the usual omelettes that are not advertised but easily ordered with the waitstaff of the restaurant.

This hotel is very hard to fault, I do have to say that Pedro, hotel ambassador/guest services manager is thoroughly devoted into setting and maintaining the high standards of hospitality and service of this property and it really is tangible through the stay.

Will I stay again/recommend it to family and friends?

Most definitely.

The staff at this hotel are amazing and the amenities are as well! There were a lot of unexpected surprises (free walking tours (special shout out to Joana, who did an AMAZING JOB!!!) , wine tastings, free ice cream, amazing breakfast) and the level of cleanliness and COVID guidelines actually seemed to enhance instead of take away from our stay. Everyone was super friendly and very customer focused. Hand sanitizer was available at every corner, they provided an extra face mask and gloves in the room and everything was in plastic bags. We also received our own special breakfast selection bread basket with a variety of meats and cheese, as well as still being able to choose from a variety of extras! The bed was very comfortable, the 'living room' next to the ruins inside the hotel was so cozy and the perfect spot to enjoy the delicious drinks from the bar above, the restaurant on site was amazing and the recommendations we received from the staff were all great. They even had a small gym (currently limited to 2 people due to COVID but still a great basic gym with dumbbells and cardio machines). Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations and I will recommend this hotel to everyone that I know that is planning on traveling to Lisbon and I would never stay anywhere else if we go back!

Corpo Santo has all the comforts you’d expect of a 5 star hotel, but goes a step further than most to make your stay really special. From the free ice cream to evening treats such as wine served in the lobby, there is something to make every day different and memorable. One day, we had desserts left in our room after housekeeping had been in. It sounds simple, but these little touches go a long way to make you feel welcome.

The Guest Service Manager, Joana, was truly wonderful. We went on her energetic and educational city walking tour and it was magnificent. When the official tour was over, she then walked us back to the hotel and continued to tell us more about the city. Her professionalism, personality, and enthusiasm were a real highlight of our trip.

I should also thank the charismatic restaurant manager Christopher for making the breakfast buffet as entertaining as it was delicious. What a lovely and efficient man. Finally, the housekeeping team must be commended for the first class cleaning and room changing they do - absolute perfection.

This is a five star hotel with true personality.

After 40+ years of business and pleasure travel the Corpo Santo Lisbon Historical Hotel is my number 1 rated package of location, facility, and especially the staff.

First point of recognition has to be to Beatriz Silvestre and David Zambujo of the guest services team for leading the 2 different complimentary walking tours of the Baixa and sharing their deep knowledge of the history of Lisbon and the area and their pride in their city. Don't miss these tours - you will see things that aren't in the Fodors and hear stories that give real flavor to Lisbon history and life.

After flying all night, we were greeted by Manager Pedro Pinto and escorted personally down to the lower level lounge for coffee and some quiet time while awaiting our rooms. The lounge is unique - an interactive historical presentation of the city of the history and a segment of the 14th century Lisbon city wall uncovered during renovations in 2017.

Unlike many "5 star" hotels, the Corpo Santo doesn't nickel and dime guests with charges for water, coffee, etc. On top of a bottle of Conde de Monsul red and a cheese plate to welcome us to the hotel, the Corpo Santo offers guests water and fruit and ice cream in the lobby and beverages in the rooms.

The Corpo Santo rooms are new and fresh and welcoming, with high ceilings and quiet efficient air conditioning. The outside walls are 3 feet thick and with double windows so that the noise of Lisbon stays outside.

The Porter restaurant at the hotel is a far cry from the normal hotel restaurant. The complimentary breakfast is served fresh from the kitchen, not reheated eggs and soggy toast from a buffet. And when it rained and we decided to try the Porter for lunch, we were thrilled: soup and Bacalhau a Bras and salads that were fresh and authentic Lisbon tastes. Special thanks to Sara of the Porter team!

But what puts the Corpo Santo at the top of my list is the staff. Front desk and concierge and bell and housekeeping all warm and helpful and knowledgeable. Beatriz is not only a wonderful tour guide, but arranged onsite Covid 19 tests so we could get on our cruise.

There are a lot of cities where I want to return, but very few where I want to return in part to enjoy the hospitality of a hotel. Corpo Santo is that rare gem in a world of indifferent service and food.

This hotel knows how to go above and beyond for their guests. After being closed for 2 months due to Covid-19, me and my colleagues were their first guests after the reopening.
Not only did they master the Covid-19 procedures perfectly but they were still able to give a personalized service and made us feel at home away from home. Having breakfast in the restaurant or in the safety of our own rooms, the choice was up to us, helping with finding out which shops were open and which were closed, nothing was too much to ask for these kind people.
The room was clean, all single use items wrapped in plastic, masks and handsanitizer tissues available to use when leaving the room.
A warm family hotel with amazing staff, I can highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to visit again!

We stayed for 4 nights in February. The hotel is very well located being close to the river and the Ribera (Time Out) market, which was perfect for dinner. We did the walking tour with Philippe, which was immensely enjoyable and very informative. Joanna, the customer services manager, deserves a huge amount of praise. She made a point of speaking to guests at breakfast to check if everything was to their satisfaction. We had a small issue with our room that was rectified immediately. She also provided excellent recommendations for sights we wouldn’t have known about, such as the LX Factory near the bridge. Every day we were brought free things to our room including a fruit bowl, plate of cheese, plate of biscuits and even a bottle of wine. In the evenings there is free wine tasting as well as complimentary popcorn, candy floss and other small quirky touches that made all the difference. Our room was bright, spacious and clean. We definitely hope to return to Corpo Santo for another visit very soon. Well done to all the staff at this hotel making it such a great and welcoming place to stay.
