My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Staff was very friendly. There is a cafe in the lobby. Our room was clean and the hotel location feels like you are in the center of all the attractions. The only negative part of our stay was the noise from the street. I recommend bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Great stay- highly recommend!
Amazing hotel. This hotel is beautifully designed, has great aesthetics and really professional staff. All the staff speak fluent English and cater to all of your needs no matter day or night. I have stayed at this hotel 5+ times and can’t wait to come back again. An added bonus is they serve all halal food! Great for anyone that is after a halal hotel in a city where halal food is scarce. I can’t recommend MeraPrime Gold enough. The management and ownership staff are also really helpful and nice to speak to if you need anything. 10/10.
Amazing location, short walking distance to Praça do Comércio and Tejo River, surrounded by good cofee shops, restaurants and public tranportation. Staff is very kind. They did let me know in advance that they do not have rooms service in the evening, although the restaurant menu is in the room. Courtains do not blackout totally.
We stayed here for 3 nights and we have nothing but positive things to say about the hotel. Front desk staff was friendly, breakfast had many items to choose from (including gluten free bread upon request). Their “pasteis de bacalhau” were delicious! We liked them better than the ones from Casa Portuguesa do Pastel de Bacalhau. We were surprised with how good the internet speed was (over 600 mbps) which we needed since we had to work remotely for two days. We needed an additional cable extension to plug an extra device and the manager and the bellman went out of their ways to get it for me. We really liked its location since it’s in downtown and we could easily move around the city. We’ll definitely be staying here again.
The staff were incredible here! They answered all our many questions, and were always helpful in filling our water bottles with fresh water! When we left our luggage in the morning on check in day, the luggage was already moved to our room by check in as well! The room was very nicely designed and had everything we needed, and it was cleaned while we are out at breakfast each morning. The location couldn’t be better, a 5 minute walk to pretty much everything you need in the touristy area of Lisbon. I’d easily stay here again!
The staff at this hotel really are so amazing! The rooms are well appointed, although small. I would highly recommend booking one of their suites - they are the only rooms in the hotel with a large bed and a foam mattress topper. Otherwise, if you are sharing a bed with another person, you may be uncomfortable. The other rooms have full sized beds which are hard as a rock and no mattress topper. Great location, good breakfast options in the morning. I recommend - but do book the suite!
This was a long awaited city break with friends. We'd first booked it in March 2020 thinking COVID would be over by October. The hotel were so helpful and re-booked us for 2021 - it still wasn't over so we re-booked again for 2022 and finally made it. (Even though it still isn't over!) We were welcomed with a glass of apple juice and a pastis de nata and I discovered I like custard tarts after all. These ones anyway! All the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were small but comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. I chose fruit and pastries each morning, my friends chose the hot food and pastries too. The pastries were too tasty looking to refuse! We were able to leave our suitcases with reception when we checked out so we could enjoy our last day unburdened. A great hotel, definitely recommended! …
We spent 4 nights at this lovely property. Our room was comfortable, quiet and nicely appointed, and the location, one block from a ped mall and two blocks from the river, was excellent. The hotel staff also helped arranged airport transfers, which we appreciated. But the thing that set this property apart was the front desk staff. They were simply outstanding and Fernanda, Sara and Adreia were next level personable and helpful. Over and over they helped us figure out things to do and the public transit to get there. Much appreciated! Thank you!
My actual rating would be 2.5 stars. We had high hopes for this hotel, especially as this was our first time in Lisbon, but too many things fell short for us. First the Pros: overall, the hotel decor and cleanliness gets high marks from me. The buffet breakfast was decent for getting in a good meal before heading out for the day. The room had a safe, a small fridge, and a pretty large bathroom as well. I liked the toiletries provided. The location is really the best feature of the hotel, as it's 3 short blocks from Praça do Comércio, many restaurants and bars, and transportation. Now for the Cons: first, the room was tiny (of course it's to be expected in Europe). However, this was worsened by the improper functioning of the air conditioning during the worst heatwave in Europe in 60 years. The AC was weak, and would shut off once the desired temperature was reached....but here's the kicker: it would not automatically turn back on once the temperature rose again. No, you have to physically get up and turn it back on. This was extremely uncomfortable during sleep especially, and is a terrible feature that I've not encountered anywhere else in extensive travel experiences. The hotel did not provide facial tissues, body lotion, or coffee. Most noticeable as well was a constant sewage smell coming from the pipes, and (being on the first floor), we heard the metro/subway passing underground. Overall, we made the experience work, as we wanted to enjoy Lisbon as much as possible. If you choose to stay here, I'd say make sure you book a larger room (we had a standard double room), and ask for a higher floor as well.…
Bait & switch on the room. We booked a queen bed and they gave us a double bed, insisting it was their queen. They pretended that was the only size they had. After insisting repetitively and asking to speak with manager who was never available, they finally gave us the right room for the last 2 days and a partial credit for the first night after many discussions. Front desk was nice enough but stonewalled us supposedly because manager not present and they were not authorized. Very unpleasant and shady experience. Funky/moldy smelling lobby. Rooms are extremely small.
