I came to this hostel because the contract of my flat ended and I wanted to stay a few more days in this wonderful city. I think the price is really good, the staff is so kind, great included breakfast and really good atmosphere. Maybe a bit noisy sometimes but is not really a problem for me :) PS: maybe...

Hans Brinker makes out its the worst place to stay, the one in Amsterdam certainly not the worst place but in Lisbon it is a clean comfortable hostel. It has a great social area and friendly staff, it was one of the better hostels ive stayed in Europe. Close to the city and other atrractions.

Overall I would rate my stay here as good. The front desk person was polite and greeted me and showed me to the common area as I waited for my group to arrive from Spain. The location was about 15 minute cab ride from Lisbon airport and is well located. The room I stayed in was in good condition while...

A nice, clean, and very sociable stay close to Downtown Lisbon. Best suited for young backpackers looking to meet friends or seasoned travelers who enjoy conversation and a bar on premises. A fun time.

Very friendly personal. Close to metro and supermarket, but there is a far from the general sights - I used the metro every day. There you haven't got a hairdryer. The breakfast is poor, but with apples and bananas.

There is anything else but a bed. You won't find any common areas. This is a building with corridors and rooms. That is all. So probably you can lay down on the floor outside your crowded room if you need to work on your computer.

Thanks for your review, but not sure you've been in the whole hostel? There is quite a big common (bar) area and rooftop terrace of course? That's where many people sit down to either work on their computer or just relax. So next time have a look on the first floor!

I think the title really does sum it up. The hostel puts much effort into giving off the impression of being hip and fun and cool. If you are between 16 and 20 you might get what you are looking for. Low prices for drinks and a pillow to put your head on. If you are planning to do a...

Hello, I stayed at the Hans Brinker Hostel for 4 Days with my classmates. The Hostel has wifi, which I appreciated. Also the Bar with the open terrace is good and the prices of the drinks are fair. But the cleanness of this hostel is not very good. The ground of the shower is dirty, my bed was full with...

Thank you for your feedback. And sorry you didn't experience the hostel being clean. It should be! But it's hard to always make sure there are no insects...when we clean, we do get rid of them, but when they get back..... But hopefully it didn't ruin your stay too much!

Thanks for your review! And yes maybe it's not really convenient, but it makes you faster to go either the bar or into the city :) Isn't that a good thing?

A good youth hostel in Lisbon. The location is not central but the entire city is easily accessible. The team was able to respond our demand. Thank you. Nice terrace, friendly space. Missing a collective kitchen. Very good staff.

Great, thanks for your review! Of course good to hear you think the staff is doing a good job. Unfortunately we don't have a kitchen which we can use for guests. But maybe in the future... You should come back some day!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hans Brinker Hostel Lisbon is a great place to go to if you want to have a fun stay in Lisbon's city centre. Either if you decide to go out or stay in at night, you'll have a good time anyway! We offer cheap beds in basic rooms, perfect for students, backpackers and other young travelers. As we provide over 150 beds, we're also a great hostel to host groups! You can book private rooms as well as a bed in a dormitory (from 4 up to 10 people). We are located in Lisbon's city centre, right next to the Parque Eduardo VII, a great place to hang out with a group of (new) friends in Summer. Bars and restaurants are located around the hostel. If you want to go to the old city centre, it is about a 20 minutes' walk over the big boulevard 'Avenida da Liberdade', or 5-10 minutes by Metro, which is located close to the property. ... more   less
