We stayed four nights. Our room was good size, very clean, lots of hot water, small 'fridge, comfortable bed, aircon. Very little noise and we slept well. The lounge area, restaurant and bar area were all smart.
Breakfast was continental with extras - pancakes, homemade...More
Stayed at the Turin Restauradores for 4 nights on an EasyJet holiday which cost £137 per person for 4 night B&B along with return flights, so for that price I wasn't expecting the Ritz. However after dismissing the exterior as a bit shabby I was...More
I legitimately do not understand how any comments below are as generous as they are. Yes, the hotel is clean and yes, it is in a great location but our stay was most definitely NOT pleasurable. First, the WiFi was awful and when we spoke...More

The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used
to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.

Pendolino trains (Alpha) & Intercidades trains run from Santa Apolonia railway station to Porto (Campanha station). Alpha take 2hr 45min - 3hrs, Intercity take 3hrs 10-30min. The latter are far more comfortable, though! We take the Metro Azul (blue) Line from Restauradores (on the main road, 1 min walk from the hotel), which goes direct to Santa Apolonia railway station, a journey time of only 5 minutes!
