What you need to know: DONT EXPECT A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP- We booked this hotel based on tripadviser reviews. Some mention the train noise and we were under the impression we could Avoid this by requesting a quiet room. We ended up staying in rooms on both sides of the building and whilst the bridge side experiences slightly muted noise...

Nice location; excellent food; beautiful design rooms - quiet and nice view. Friendly personal. Un hotel deosebit cu angajati deosebiti atenti la toate detaliile. Restaurantul este la standardul de 5 stele - mancarea e ca o arta - o armonie placuta de culori si arome.

A hotel that is trying very hard to be cool and happening but comes across as a bit of a glorified motel. Friendly staff but cramped rooms, unattractive colors, (grey and black), and hence sleep quality poor. A not so great location along a busy road in Belem (albeit close to some attractions). All in all an ok experience but...

A really nice location by the riverfront and close by all monuments in Belem. Five star reception/staff and a free airport-shuttle. Take the tram into the city or take a walk by the river. If you are a light sleeper avoid the rooms towards the railway tracks.

Bright and spacious rooms with views our over the docks, huge super-comfortable beds, large and well-designed bathrooms. This hotel oozes five star class: the staff could not be bettered. Highly professional, attentive without being intrusive, and very friendly. This hotel is some way from the centre, and the tram system is unreliable - often over-crowded to the point where it...

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belem
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
