We have just spent 4 nights at the Holiday Inn Lisbon plaza and we were very impressed staff were very polite and nothing was to much. The room was up to a decent modern standard the bathroom was lovely and the shower very spacious. For the 4 nights we paid about 90 euros a night and that was with breakfast included. The hotel has a bar which we only used once a pint of beer and a coke came to 8.5 euro on the last day we were able to keep our room till 2am for no extra charge. The location was excellent as we had two metros which were very close by .If we come back to Lisbon we would stay here.
Not having visited Lisbon before, we were astounded at the prices of local hotels. We found this little gem of a hotel on line situated in the business district of downtown. It was tucked away in the middle of the block, near restaurants and shops. As it was near most everything, we found ourselves walking everywhere. For further out activities, cabs were readily available through the front desk. The rooms were well designed and modern, clean and neat, beds comfortable and bathroom well equipped. (Reminded us a lot of the re-do of the American Holiday Inn Express revamps which we have encountered.) The front desk personnel were very welcoming and friendly, able to call cabs and explain the area and answer all questions. Kudos to the management for hiring such good and professional talent. The one thing that set the breakfast apart from the American counterparts was the breakfast: it was so much better. The breads, fresh fruits, real orange juice, friendly cook who smiled and greeted everyone, super coffee machines... what a great way to start the day! Well done!…
Booked 3 months ahead via booking.com for our late wedding anniversary trip (as we couldn't get vacations on the correct date). Paid extra for a double bed room (the random standard room was a little bit cheaper at the time). Got a room with twin beds instead, also a claim that we had not booked a double room (although my confirmation clearly said "double room with one double bed" and I have never previously had a problem with room types through booking.com, in whichever country that I have visited) and a suggestion that maybe you can push the beds together (the beds are separated by a table fixed to the wall). With every question the receptionist went to backroom to discuss something and always the result was to decline our request. To add salt to the wounds, there were multiple double bed rooms in check-out cleaning on the next morning, although I was told that no such rooms will check out during that day. Moreover, the promise of "soundproofing" and "extra care about cleanliness" do not apply as the people nextdoor could be heard through the door connecting the two rooms (probably a possible family room option) and during evening/night bright light came from under the door. Also dark hairs can be found here and there and the toilet water stays flowing half of the time - an extra push or two solves it. The basic spots are cleaned well enough but the other spots lack attention. The toilet paper is also on the cheaper side. The duvet cover was about 20cm shorter than the blanket foe one of the beds and had rather large (few cm in diameter) black stains on it. In addition, noone was present in the reception when going downstairs in the evening, so there was no way to actually communicate any issues that came up. Finally, we asked for a take away breakfast as we were checking out 1-1.5 hours before the start of actual breakfast. Of course there was no breakfast prepared for us. Luckily there were 2 small apple pies and 2 portugal egg pies left over from the previous day so at least we could take them for the two of us (as offered by the guy working in the morning - he was actually pretty good when it comes to guest relations considering the circumstances). The normal breakfast that we had on the first morning was on the smaller side but pretty ok.…
Love this place!! This was our first time visiting Portugal and Holiday Inn Express Saldanha. Loved it! Sergio, Baltran and Pedro were so helpful and accommodating. They are wonderful. The hotel was spotless and service impeccable Keep up the fabulous work. 😍👌❤️
Requested a room far away from the elevator. To my surprise I received a room exactly next to the elevator. Furthermore our room had zero towels in the bathroom. When requesting them we received one. The next morgen at 09:00 (breakfast served till 10:30) almost all the breakfast items where gone. No yogurt, no bread, no eggs etc. Staf disappeared. Nothing was replenished.
The HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS LISBON-PLAZA SALDANHA hotel is a nice 3-star hotel and is situated very convenient near the Saldanha Place (and the respective Saldanha Metro Station-Red Line), near the center of the old city and about 10 stops away from the airport (by metro-Red Line). The room was relatively spacious, the cleaning also very good and the service of personnel excellent. The breakfast was offered free and had satisfactory choices. I liked my stay at the hotel and I will stay again, if the opportunity arises, because the location, cleanliness and service was excellent, while comfort and value were very good.
I was nicely surprised to find hotel Holiday Inn express Saldhana in Lisbon so new and so clean. The rooms still smell like new and are daily thoroughly cleaned by very a friendly and hard working cleaning team, the bathroom is also very clean and spacious, with a very good shower. The matrass and pillows are also very comfortabel. AND the most important subject of my review is the front desk staff. What an incredible team of very friendly, polite and professional young people. When I arrived to the hotel, I was warmly welcomed by Marianna, she did her best to accomodate me and to find the best room solution for me so I can feel comfortable staying in the hotel for 2 weeks. And she is always ready to help and to listen. I also really would like to thank Filipe for his support and patience, Arthur for always telling me that if I need any help, they are there to help me. Also thank you so much to amazing Ana, Rafael, Pedro for their fantastic friendliness and helpfulness in the times I needed it because of my health issues. What a professional staff, nothing is too much for them (sorry if I forgot someone)... Every morning waking up with a very good breakfast, big variety of choices, everything fresh and nicely presented and clean. A big thank you to the breakfast staff to work hard and keep everything covid safe and very clean. …
Very nice very clean room, simple but it has everything you really need. The front desk was helpful with directions, arranging a day tour for us. covid tests, breakfast was adequate/good. Wifi was very good, Would not hesitate to stay again.
The staff is absolutely rude. Many suspicious guys get in there which makes you feel insecure, there is no security. Someone can freely enter your room, and they do not take responsibility for anything. The food is terrible too. This is a hotel that must be avoided at all costs. Horror.
I stayed for 3 nights on this hotel last summer. This hotel have good rooms, excellent breakfast and supportive crew in English and Portuguese. Only complain in the lack of in hotel park facility, but there is an expensive public park building close by.
