After a wonderful 2 week trip along the coast of Portugal, we ended our visit with a one-night stay at the Britania before an early airport run. The hotel has old-world charm with updated amenities & is centrally located for lovely walks. Breakfast was included, along with a glass of port. Staff were accommodating & an AC issue was immediately...

I can find no fault with the Hotel Britania. The staff organised our new year's eve for us in a fab restaurant on the waterfront. Ideal for the fireworks. Nothing was too much trouble. We all felt very comfortable. The rooms were lovely, large and styled with some very nice art deco furniture. We all loved staying here and would...

We picked this hotel for our 4-night stay on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed! From the cheery smile from the young lady on reception when we arrived, to the friendly and helpful staff in the breakfast room, the delightful chambermaid, and the continuing help throughout our stay, the level of service was of the highest...

The staff at Hotel Britania were without exception, delightful. Our room was large, very comfortable and clean. The hotel is situated in a quiet, though not particularly attractive road, convenient for walking down into the old town. The breakfasts were fine, though not exceptional. The gin and tonics were tremendous! We also liked the cosy bar/lounge area. Wouldn't hesitate to...

As a world traveler, I have stayed at my fair share of hotels. This was one of the best experiences. Excellent customer service. Delightful breakfast and relaxing afternoon tea. Loved the homemade bread and pastries. Quiet spacious room. Top notch bath products. Couldn't ask for anything more.

On an eight day trip to Portugal, we had our last two nights here. It's a classic built in 1942 and has marble foyer and bathroom floors, with cork floors in the rooms. High ceilings. All amenities and a caring staff. Breakfast was very good.

If you are looking for a relaxing haven with great service and a good location, this is the place for you. We booked a superior room which was huge with a small entrance hall off which we had a gorgeous bathroom. It's Art Deco heaven and everything is very stylish throughout the bedroom and in fact the rest of the...

We stayed at the hotel in January 2017 as a family in 2 rooms. The Britania Hotel is perfectly located just off the main street (Av da Liberdade) in Lisbon and just south of the Parque Eduado Vii and close to a metro station. It is easy to get to by public transport and within walking distance of the main...
