Large room on the third floor, with the widest bed I have seen! Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfasts, with awide range of options The hotel is on a street behind upmarket shops and very quiet, despite a "Gentlemens club" on the opposite side. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, but it is a15 to 20 minute walk from the tourist...

We had a very warm welcome. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very spacious with typical period pieces. The breakfast was amazing with homemade cakes every day. Very central.

We thoroughly enjoyed our eight-night stay at the Britania Hotel. This lovely art-deco hotel is about a 10-15 walk from the main stream tourist hotels and is conveniently located about 2 minutes from a metro station which efficiently gives you access to all parts of Lisbon. We found all staff at this hotel to be outstanding, always friendly and willing...

Excellent location, very helpful and polite staff, big, clean rooms and all very stylish. A real gem of a hotel in a quiet road just off the main road into the city. Nothing was too much trouble from arranging restaurant bookings to tours. I wouldn't look anywhere else!

Wonderful location with very comfortable room and bath. Superb bar and very fine afternoon tea. Breakfast perfectly adequate the one time tried, but normally went out for coffee/croissant just up the street. Good restaurants in the near neighborhood.

Enjoyed a great stay at the Hotel Britania in May 2017 - the rooms are large and spacious with comfortable beds. The staff was simply delightful and accommodating. Loved the breakfast and Port and Ginja available in the lobby daily. Although not down in the center of it all, it is a very enjoyable 10-minute walk to the central train...

Our room was very large and clean with all the amenities, including a kettle. The breakfasts were outstanding with a lot of choice and great quality food. The complimentary tea with pastries and port/ghinja liqueur were very welcome...

Our room was ready on arrival, although we did not expect it to be until 2pm. Room spotless, loiletries replaced everday and room serviced to a high standard. All Hotel staff are so friendly and yet professional, special thanks to Carolina who directed and booked a vegetarian restaurant for us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. You could take...

This is a terrific boutique hotel. If there were a sixth star available, I'd award it that. The rooms are very large and comfortable and the public areas well restored to their original glory. The staff is friendly, helpful and highly engaging. Very good location, with two close subway stops and less than two blocks from the Fifth Avenue-type, high-end...

“We had superior double. It was nice that there was a square hallway off the bedroom and the bathroom was off this. Plenty room to spread about and two lounging chairs in the bedroom - not that we needed them much as it was lovely to pop down to the hotel bar/lounge area to sit and have a drink of free port tea or coffee before we went out in the evening!”
