I was flying out of Berlin and my connecting flight to Chicago on TAP Air Portugal was after 23 hours from Lisbon. I selected Novotel Lisboa at Avenida Jose Malhoa for 2 reasons – (a) My association with the Accor Group of Hotel as a member & (b) I know that the Novotel Group serves lip-smacking amazing breakfast. The short stay of few hours was amazing at the property. The reception was warm and quick. The room was simply huge with a massive attached bathroom. Toiletries provided were out of the world. Nearest underground metro was a short 10 mins walk away and close to a Shopping Mall including a multiplex. I was here on a Christmas eve so as luck would have it everything was closed. I had to survive on Starbucks alone. But the next morning I was in for a treat shortly before my check-out. The breakfast was simply amazing with ample of choices to select from. The baked goods and savories were awesome too. Icing on the cake was the live station for Eggs and Pasta. All in all, a memorable stay. Would I stay here again – You bet I would. Thank you, Team Novotel, for everything.…
I made a reservation for the beginning of April, which I, obviously, had to cancel; but the hotel is not willing to waive the cancellation fee. In times like this, when the whole world is facing a MAJOR PANDEMIC/crisis, it's unbelievable to see how people/companies still try to take advantage of people. I can't travel not because I changed my mind, but because there are restrictions IMPOSED by most governments due to the coronavirus, therefore businesses like hotels, airlines, etc should have policies in place to deal with it. I won't stop fighting as I find it so disrespectful given the circumstances. Don't count on me to ever stay at a Novotel again, that's for sure!
We stayed few days with my husband and : - the gym was closed since many weeks and it wasn’t mentioned nowhere on their websites or booking platform . Might not be a criteria for some people but for us it was really important and we based our choice on that . -The AC isn’t working ! You can put 0degres you will hear a noise but no fresh air !! - every time we were using our bathroom sink the smell was sh** . It smelled so bad . -the furnitures and hôtel in general except the restaurant that you see in the first photo of the website are really old -finally , the start was awful. Not sympatic . My husband and I travel every month and we aren’t hard people but don’t spend your money there . You will thank us !
Very nice room. Good buffet breakfast. Only complaints are bathtub too high (could use step ladder to get in and out - one woman in my tour group actually fell getting out of it). Also planes constantly flying over hotel so could be a bit noisy.
Stayed during a weekend in Lisbon after watching the Rick Stein weekend away The hotel was exactly what we needed. Great room, a great buffet breakfast, taxi rank outside. We requested a local restaurant recommendation from the reception team who recommended a fabulous local restaurant Highly recommended for a weekend break. Will return
