Good location ,close to shopping and metro , but should be more for a 4 star hotel .Breakfast was good. The Room could have been cleaner , small things but noticed.Their other hotel (Oriente) , Parque de Nações was better, rooms sete bigger.
We stayed at this property with a trafalgar tour. They stored our luggage until the rooms were ready and misplaced my bag. I asked them to look for it and what I received in response was insulting and deceptive. They denied having the bag. When pushed on the subject, the bag appeared from under the desk clerks feet. He claimed I was lucky I got the bag. Really? What are you going to do? On another subject, the room had furniture with peeling countertops.
It was our first time at this hotel and we didn’t regret it. At the reception desk we were welcomed by Sara, Ana or Vera. They always took the time to explain us different options, suggested us restaurants, places to visit, phone for us to inquire about prices… They always smile. In the buffet/restaurant, we met Claudio, Manoj and Marcia. It was great to start the day with smiles and welcoming service. Every employee is working very hard to make sure that everything is good. And after a day of discovering Lisbon, we always stopped at the bar. Marcia was the first one who served us. Yes, she worked buffet and bar. She’s one of the reasons why we enjoyed so much this hotel. She was always smiling and so friendly. The day of my birthday she made sure that the young man at the buffet door wished me “Parabens”. I will remember that. One of the highlights of our trip is the friendship with Bruno, the main bartender. His friendly personality and as well very great bartending skills makes him an asset to this hotel. Bruno speaks many languages so when Brazilians, Irish, Canadians, Spaniards sit at his bar, it just become a funny place to be. The conversations and the people we met around the bar created great memories . The enjoyment at this hotel started with Marcia and continued with Bruno. Hotel Olissippo Marques de Sa is situated close to beautiful parks, and metro station. A little bit north of the business. There’s many great restaurants around it. Very often we would be the only tourists there. The area is very less touristic more like real Lisbon. We spend 7 nights at the Olissippo. Through our excursions we met tourists staying at other hotels. They had complaints about the personal of their hotel. They didn’t have the same experience as us. They didn’t have the chance to meet Marcia, Bruno, Sara and the rest of the staff at the Olissippo. Thanks to the cleaning ladies crew. Sorry I didn’t get your names. As you can sense, we travel to meet people and have fun. This hotel visit encourages us to return to Lisbon some day. Muito Obrigado por tudo!…
Cannot fault this hotel - every single member of staff from reception, serving, front of house, and bar were incredible and on top of everything. We moved rooms from a twin to a double and they moved all our stuff over whilst we were out no problem (we expected we'd have to move it ourselves so hadn't gathered it together so that must have been a bit of a feat!) Great breakfast selection consistently restocked by staff and same for evening meals (we visited twice and had buffet selections as several large tour parties were also visiting whilst we were there) so very good value for money to have a 3 course buffet meal for just under €20 pp, drinks are not included as a heads up to others but are reasonably priced. Fresh towels and bed made every day whilst out, full aircon (needed!) and nicely decorated room with plenty of storage. Only feedback is in both rooms the glass for the shower part of the bath didn't fully stop water from reaching the floor so we had to mop it up with bathmat and extra hand towel given as it was rather flooded and then slippery on the tiles in both. 10/10 would visit again and recommend if going to Lisbon - we had no issues accessing transport links either (the 742 bus and Azul metro line we used several times both have stops within 5 minutes of the hotel).…
We were there for a conference but after walking around Lisbon I thought the hotel would be a great tourist location. The nearby gardens are so cool and green, and its in a nice neighborhood with lots of outdoor restaurants. The staff were kind and helpful, the bar was nice and roomy and the breakfasts were amazing. A good way to escape the bustle of downtown, and easy access to buses and metro.
Good location very close to Sao Sebastioa Metro Station which provides quick access to all the major areas of the City. Large shopping mall and restaurants close by. Very nice comfortable bar, lounge area with tap beer. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Room spacious and clean with mini fridge and safe. Wifi is excellent with great speed. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower had good water pressure and hot water. Breakfast is good. Blackout curtains in room. Just a couple of frustrating little things that prevented a 5 rating for me. The complete lack of accessible power points for charging. The only one available was just above the floor, just inside the door. Another curious one was the lack of 'soap dish' in the shower. There is no soap or shampoo in the shower only individually wrapped ones on the sink, which is great, but there is nowhere in the shower to put the soap. The bed was 2 singles put together for a double/queen, which is common, but were individually made as 2 separate beds, which I have never seen before. Just a couple of minor, yet frustrating points. Everything else was great.…
located in a very nice area of lisbon near the subway and close to restaurants and shopping, this hotel gas a great staff and nice bar, the beds were comfortable and the food for breakfast was delicious....it was clean and neat with easily accessible WIFI would recommend for a good place to stay not great
The management and staff were very helpful especially assisting our group with arranging alternative travel out of Lisbon to Canada because of COVID-19. Would go back again as it was conveniently located.
The 4 nights spent here were great. The location was so convenient as everything was easily accessible by short train ride or walking. The airport is 20 minutes away, shopping near by, and main attractions a couple stops away. My hubby and I were able to walk to the Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon's Champs-Elysees, to meet our bike tour group. And although it took us 6 hours, probably due to getting lost on purpose, we walked from Belem back to our hotel. The Hotel is clean and hospitality was amazing. With no mention that we were there for my birthday, we returned from a day out to champagne and cake. It was a wonderful surprise. I would definitely stay there again!
We stayed here as part of a tour, did not chose it ourselves. The room is pretty spartan, so if you just want a basic room that is walkable to many places, this is it. But, no hooks or places to hang anything in the bathroom, no shelf in the shower for soap or shampoo, and to find an outlet to charge our devices we had to crawl under the desk to plug into the one available outlet. I killed three bugs in the bathroom in the morning, and housekeeping was apparently rationing toilet paper when they did our room as they left us with half a roll. But breakfast was decent.
