Big rooms with large (for Europe) twin beds that are actually not touching! Big, bright bathroom with lots of counter space. The only con is there were no outlets near the beds — and hardly any at all in the room. The location is out of the way, but we stayed here our last night before heading to the airport, so it wasn’t bad. (But if you want to be within walking distance to the city center, probably not the best choice.)
We have a wonderful time at the Lisbon Marriott Hotel. Coming from the USA on a red-eye, we did not get to the hotel until 10am. The downside is that check-in time is 4pm, but luckily, the hotel made an exception for our family. I used the Marriott app to book the reservation so one thing I did not know is that you have to list the number of people. The app automatically defaults to one so in the US, it doesn't really matter the number of people. We were traveling with my wife, and our two kids, ages 7 and 3. As a result, the hotel made us upgrade to a suite, but at a cost of 90 Euro extra per day which I wasn't expecting. Our 7 year son was feeling sick from the ride from the airport to hotel. Note that the traffic is immense. A 5 mile or so ride took one hour with traffic, and with stick shift cars, but son vomited in the hotel lobby. Despite this, the staff was very accommodating, gave us our room right away, and gave us access to the lounge. The room was very cozy and spacious given we had a suite which was plenty big for our family of four with two bathrooms. My only regret was that hotel did not USB charging stations. I used my international adapter, but somehow, it drained the battery for both my wife and my phone. I would recommend having USB ports in the room. I asked for one and the hotel accommodated us. The lounge was so so, just a small sample of fruit, custard tarts and some muffins. We did not know breakfast was included as the hotel never told us. The following morning, we were eating the few snacks in the lounge and someone from the restaurant told us breakfast was included which we were not aware of. When we made it breakfast, we were in aw of all of the options. The concierge was extremely helpful in giving us tips on where to go in the city. Everyone at the hotel staff was extremely friendly, checked in to see how our son was feeling and very pleasant. We had a great experience at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Just be sure to include the number of people in the room as the rules in Portugal are different than the US. Uber is the easiest and cheapest method of transportation. Coming from the airport, I used a taxi and it cost 22 Euro. Departing, we took an Uber and it cost 9.79 Euro with a luxury car. The cost to get into the old town is 6 euro and 10 Euro to get to the Belem Tower.…
Me and a family member are frequent visitors of this hotel from America. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food at reasonable prices. Desert was just as amazing. Before we left the restaurant, Mrs. Rodriguez who is in charge of the dining room let us sample a Vegetarian Burger that was phenomenal. I give my highest recommendation for those visiting the hotel or the area.
While not in the hubbub of the historic district, this hotel is still quite convenient. The staff was ultra-friendly; the rooms were spacious; the restaurant was quite good and the willingness to go out of their way to make guests comfortable was palpable. Also, the hotel is quite convenient to the airport (use Uber, not the taxi drivers who ripped us off).
We’ve stayed here a few times now and never been disappointed! The restaurant and the bar service staff are great. They have an incredible selection of fruits and food for all:). I would highly recommend this hotel.
