Nestled between the famous Estrela gardens, the Sao Bento street famous for its antique dealers, and the charming Praça das Flores, toc toc toc Lisboa is a secret and peaceful haven in the heart of Lisbon. Behind the traditional facade of azulejos and flower covered balconies hide 8 rooms situated around a patio and a silent garden. Each room has been decorated in a unique style and with souvenir objects from numerous trips. You will be surprised by the elegant Haussman decoration, the vintage or industrial ambiance, the atmosphere is relaxed bohemian chic, according to your tastes your state of mind, your desires. Our garden, a small backdrop of peaceful greener, is located next to a park which is home to an incredible variety of birds. It can welcome you in the morning for breakfast from June to September, or around a drink at the bar after your busy day in the city. From the beginning of autumn, the lobby with the fire in the stove is a warm place for breakfasts and breaks around a tea in the late afternoon. Here, time stands still. Let yourself go with the flow, we will look after everything.

Detailed Reviews
We found a little paradise at Toctoctoc Lisboa, a unique boutique hotel that combines charm, comfort, and a prime location within walking distance of Lisbon’s best sights. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family, offering personalized tips for dining and sightseeing that helped us a lot..
Our room was beautifully decorated and outfitted with a comfy bed and a large bathroom. The details here are what make Toctoctoc so special, we fell in love with it. Breakfast was very good , surrounded by the gentle scents of the garden.
The hotel’s location is ideal—quiet enough to enjoy with windows open at night yet close enough to comfortably explore Lisbon on foot. It sits just past the Jardim da Estrela.
Special thanks to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their friendly nature and valuable advice made us feel truly at home. The honesty bar in the garden, where we could grab a drink and relax, added a lovely touch of homeliness to our evenings. Thank you

Can't recommend toctoctoc highly enough!
As soon as I booked they were extremely communicative via whatsapp, and provided a good link shortly before our stay to the Concierge app which was full of all the info we needed to prepare as well as their local recommendations.
The team were extremely friendly on check in (especially Julia!) who was whatsapping and very understanding of our delayed flight. She also gave us some excellent local recommendations for that evening. The whole stay in fact the team were wonderful, from check in to breakfast to check out. We had one issue where a light stopped working, and it was quickly fixed with no fuss.
It was a good sized room, which was important to us as we were coming from Australia with a lot of luggage. The bathroom was nice and big with a very nice rain shower. The bed was big and comfortable.
Our room was on the third floor and while those stairs were exercise every day (especially after also walking the hills), there is a lift (which was also good as it meant we did not have to carry luggage).
The breakfast was delicious with a lovely range of options, and we appreciated the flexibility to not have it every day. The weather was good so we were able to sit in the beautiful garden to enjoy it. We also enjoyed the garden and its honesty bar later - a lovely touch.
The location is good - in a relatively quiet neighbourhood (some people we met were staying in more lively areas and said sleeping was hard), but still very close to walk or Uber to everything.
NB there is no TV in the rooms - this was no problem for us as we were there to explore Lisboa, including its nightlife, but noting it in case it's important for you.

This is a lovely place to stay, the pleasure of which slowly reveals itself rather than hitting you over the head. It's tastefully and thoughtfully arranged for comfort, with different sitting areas, access to coffee and tea in more than one spot, a lovely garden and, of course, comfortable, well appointed rooms. The staff is amazing - special shout-out for Inga - and can help you figure out all the best things to do in Lisbon. The location is ideal if you like to get a real feel for a city - outside the tourist epicenter so way less overrun but also close enough that you can do touristy things easily.

This place is a pure delight! The decor is unique and imaginative - each floor has it's own distinct personality and I imagine that each room does as well. The garden is a peaceful sanctuary, complete with a "free bar" where you help yourself to a beer or wine and leave what you had in a notebook. The breakfasts are outstanding - a wide variety of bread, cereal, cheese, yogurt - all fresh and delicious. The BEST thing about toctoctoc is the staff!! Julia and Mattias were gracious hosts and gave us very helpful hints about places to eat and how to get around town. We loved this place!

Stayed four nights in this gem charming homey boutique hotel for four nights. Special thanks to Camille and Armelle for accommodating my multiple requests and inquiries. Camille even lend me a viva viagem card for use in the public transport. Location is very good, it seems a residential/business area so it is quiet at night. Near a local grocery store if you need anything. The place has a very homey touch and the service is personalized. Each room is of different style so you can pick according to your taste, gauranteed all rooms will be clean and restful. I would definitely come back to this hotel if I am in Lisbon. Highly, highly recommended.

Chapeau! The welcome, helpfulness and friendliness with which we were greeted by the young ladies of the staff are unbeatable!
Many small attentions show the guest that he is welcome here: tea or coffee is offered at any time of the day, along with cake, chocolate and other things. As a gift from the house, we were given a scented candle and cream with a nice personal note for the New Year. At New Year, bottles of champagne were available in a cooler in the entrance for those returning home to toast with, free of charge. The payment method at the honesty bar also shows that guests are treated with kindness.
Even the healthy and varied breakfast is prepared for the eye.
We would be happy to come back in a slightly warmer time of year - also to be able to enjoy the small garden with a glass of wine.

We loved the central location in an authentic neighbourhood of Lisbon, the spacious, clean and quiet rooms with highly comfortable beds, and the trendy or vintage decoration. The small garden on the second floor with the honesty bar is a heaven to make pauses in between two visits and walks. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby (5 to 10 min walk). A big thanks to the young staff who were discrete and made great recommendations. We will come back.

A very nice experience. The rooms are very clean and the outdoor patio on the second floor is fabulous. The honor bar on the patio is open 24/7 but we would often buy a bottle of wine at the local store and drink it on the patio before and after dining out. The staff is fantastic. Special shout out to Inga who helped me book the trains to Porto which proved to be more complicated than it should have it had been. The hotel is very quiet; never heard a car or siren the 5 nights we stayed there.

Wow, what a fabulous few days stay at toc toc toc.
From the very first contact we had from our initial booking, nothing could be too much trouble. The owners and all the staff are all super helpful and friendly.
We were lucky enough to stay in 2 different rooms - Lapa and Estrella, and both were spotlessly clean, super stylish and luxurious in their own way. The beds were probably the comfiest we’ve ever slept in with very high quality bed linen.
The toiletries in the bathroom smelt divine the shower was powerful and the towels soft and fluffy.
The breakfast was just perfect - delicious coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fruit, yoghurt, a array of cereals and delicious cheeses, ham and fresh bread.
And not forgetting the cute little garden, perfect for chilling out in whilst enjoying a pre-dinner drink after a busy day!
We highly recommend toc toc toc for a stay in Lisbon which is within walking distance to so many fantastic restaurants, bars and perfect for seeing all the sites.
Absolutely fantastic! Thank you!
