Excellent Location. Parking was expensive. No Elevators - Had to drag the luggage 3 floors up. Small rooms. Breakfast was great. Staff was helpful and courteous. Can get the famous Tram 28 , 12 and 15 at walking distance from the Hotel.
It's small, basic and a bit odd (just one door around a corner, many floors and no elevator) but very well located. You have many attractions at a walk's distance. The elevator, the cathedral, the castle, the Pla¢a da Figueiras, etc. Getting to the 3rd...More
Although one has to climb stairs since the hotel is located on the first floor of an old building, the place offer modern facilities. The rooms are quite new and breakfast is something due to the diversity of food options. This was my second time at...More
Stayed here for 2 nights. Located in front of the busy square in the heart of Lisbon, this traditional pension offered everything - a clean room, breakfast, etc. It was surprisingly quiet, considering its location, and really pleasant staff members.
I loved this hotel because it was less than one minute away from trams, buses, and metro. Right in the center of Lisbon! The rooms are small typical European standard hotel as in size. The rooms were neat and clean. The bathrooms are shared however...More

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the
imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
It's not the hotel charging this . Everyone pays it in all hotels. I paid it last year at the considerably more expensive HF fenix music.
A euro a day ??? .... surely no big issue at this v v cheap price?
