I stayed 2 separate nights in 2 different rooms, both Saturday nights. Hotel Algeria was perfect in every way - charming decor, comfortable beds, good showers, noise-canceling windows, and amazing front desk staff. As a solo female I felt quite safe walking in the neighborhood which was within easy walking access to the heart of the city. Thanks for a...

We stayed 4 nights in this charming hotel the is centrally located. The hotel was recently renovated but has maintained much of its old world charm. Our room was long and narrow so that there was not much room between the end of the bed and the wall. The bed itself was small and somewhat uncomfortable but the staff did...

Our departure from the hotel defined our stay. Our airport taxi was booked at a time which precluded having breakfast but as we waited in reception for the taxi, the Manager was thoughtful enough to bring us each a cup of coffee to see us on our way. Perfect service!

We stayed at Hotel Alegria for 2 nights in April. Everyone working here was very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. The location is fantastic - we were just a short walk (2-3 minutes) to Metro, restaurants, bars, etc. The building is really beautiful and our room was fantastic. We had a suite with a bedroom, living room and...

Hotel Alegria was perfect for our one night stopover in Lisbon. The rooms are immaculate, you even get a robe and slippers! It is not far from the metro line and is a short stroll to numerous restaurants and bars.

If you want to avoid large chain hotels then this is the place for you. Charming boutique inn away from the noise of the city but close enough to comfortably walk to center. Delightful breakfast offerings are well worth the extra.

Lovely small hotel in an ideal spot for exploring Lisbon, The room we had was very long but not very wide, so if you are not able to get around too well it could be an issue to get past the end of the bed, as it is very close to the wall. The hot water for the shower was...

I am sometimes hesitant to recommend places I love, in case they become too hectic. But I must credit this hotel for combining the best of comfort with a quaint atmosphere. Our large suite overlooked the little park. The bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely. The windows are soundproofed from street noise, but the old wood floors do...

From its beautiful setting directly looking out onto the leafy historic square of Praca Alegria, the hotel is only 3 minutes away from Avenida metro station and bus stops. The famed shopping artery of Avenida Liberdade is just steps away while the Alegria is removed from the hustle of traffic. The hotel offers a choice of tastefully appointed rooms as well as a number of suites, all featuring double-glazed windows, soundproofing, air conditioning, luxurious new bedding, international TV channels, free Wi-Fi, bathrobes, slippers and bathroom toiletries. Continental breakfast is served in the breakfast room and refreshments are available all day. With the hotel set in the center of the capital, the city's most important landmarks and hotspots, including Rossio and Baixa, Chiado, Principe Real and Bairro Alto, featuring most of Lisbon's trendiest restaurants and bars are all just an easy stroll away.
