Stayed here whilst in the city for work. Easily accessible from the airport and there are always taxis outside which is great. It is very far away from the centre though and would definitely not recommend if you are in the city for tourism. The check-in process was quick and my room was ready early which was fantastic. Room itself was fine. The bed was comfy, USB plugs by the bed and there was plenty of room for luggage. However, there was no hot drink making facilities or bottled water in the room. The shower was powerful but temperature was very temperamental and kept going boiling hot without adjusting. The housekeeping was great and my room was made to a above average standard everyday. Both the breakfast and gym were pretty average but nice enough.
Due to a technical problem we missed a connecting flight to Banjul. TAP airline put us up here for the night. We arrived totally exhausted at 22.00 and the friendly staff looked after us very well. Lovely bar with smoking area and comfy rooms. Best of all the cup of coffee served with a chocolate If we ever return to Lisbon I would definitely consider staying here.
The hotel, its amenities and service were totally satisfying for a business trip. The fitness-room was well-equipped, the room clean and quiet and big, and breakfast as well as restaurant and bar were excellently catered for. Especially the staff in the bar was great and made my last evening there a pleasure (including live piano music).
Ended up in this hotel purely because of a cancelled flight to Banjul but even tho it was a really nice stay. All the staff could speak great English so there was no communication problems , breakfast was really good and staff would take care of everyone. Lovely rooms and lovely reception staff!
The best thing is it’s 15mins from the airport. I took the superior room give the experience with Europe’s notoriously tiny rooms. This was spacious and was equipped with lots of bottled water that were replaced every day. The breakfast restaurant ambiance was nice and lots of seating. There were lots of taxis outside the hotel so getting around was convenient. The staff was excellent, helpful and friendly. The gift shop had some great stuff. The downsides were immediately noticeable and echoed by others on the trip. The desk has no plug outlets around unless you unplug a lamp a few feet away. No plug outlets by the bed either. Called to complain and was told they are behind the curtain - like it was meant to be hidden. So you can’t use your computer unless already charged which after a long light is not the case. No alarm clock - guess not needed when everyone have phones these days but that meant no usb charging ports either which is a standard feature in all hotels I have been to in years either on their alarm clocks or land phones. So my iphone frequently died but happy that the staff allowed me to use their usb docks at the front desk. Their umbrella supply was limited so not always available - which in a perpetually rainy city like Lisbon Jan/Feb, was really unacceptable and seriously out of touch with customers. The breakfast items such as bacon and susuage was a rubbery instead of crispy and scrambled eggs were watery. The environs of the hotel was a bit run down and nothing much to see but a taxi ride away can take you to a more bustling city. Like I said the staff were very good. However, there are some basic things that are within their control that can be addressed to improve the experience of guests. …
