Casa Amora was great. It's a very nice location and the place was well designed. Our room was comfortable and clean. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it and we will go back when we return to Lisbon!

You will be warmly welcome and lots of great tips to explore this great city are waiting for you given by the friendly owners. You will wake up in a tasteful and friendly decorated room with some nice treats (like a modern and quiet aircondition, nice local soaps, cookies and cold water). The breakfast is served on a nice little...

From the moment we arrived we were treated as very special guests. The host helped us with dinner arrangements at lovely restaurant within walking distance. The accommodations exceeded my expectations, everything was perfect down to the last detail. We had the best sleep we had our entire European vacation. Breakfast was delicious and the court yard was beautiful setting to...

The staff made the place such a wonderful experience--available to help in any way you could imagine. It was some of the best breakfast you could get anywhere, and you dine in a beautiful outdoor garden space. The rooms are individually designed, artistic, and very comfortable.

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning and were greeted warmly with a glass of Port and basic information about our accommodations and breakfast. Our bags were taken to our room while we were talking. Luis walked us to our room, briefly showed us around and left. The next morning Joao welcomed us like family and gave us...

Lisbon was my last leg of my stay in Europe in which I solo traveled to 6 countries in 45 days!! It is different than staying in a hotel in a most positive way! Staying in Casa Amora for 5 nights gave me a home like experience of Lisbon! When I arrived, Juan gave me a map. He wrote and...

I stayed at Casa Amora with my girlfriend in June for a weekend before heading to the Algarve. We loved the location on a quiet side street near a little garden square and the impressive aqueduct. We enjoyed our stay at Casa Amora. The rooms were clean and quiet, and it was a short walk from the metro station. Juan was super-friendly and helpful, setting us up on a great walking tour of Alfama. The only possible disadvantage is that there aren't many restaurants in the area, and the handful that we found were often closed....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Amora is a typical building of Lisbon’s early twentieth century petite bourgeoisie, renovated in 2012, with a small outdoor patio for rest or meals and 5 bedrooms (all with bathroom). Each room pays homage to one of the great figures of Portuguese art (painting, music, literature, film) of the last century. The process of renewal and adaptation carefully kept all the decorative elements existing in the rooms (plaster) and exterior (tiles, balcony), introducing a color palette that contributes to a peaceful and relaxing environment. Casa Amora is located in one of the nicest and most central districts of Lisbon, Praça das Amoreiras. In this neighborhood, where the 18th century Aqueduct (that survived the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755) reaches and end, Casa Amora is neighbor to Water Museum (Museu da Mae de Agua) and the Vieira da Silva / Arpad Szenes museum. Residents and visitors have easy and direct access to the neighborhoods of antique shops (Rua de Sao Bento and Rua da Escola Politecnica), historic districts (Bairro Alto and Chiado), Avenida da Liberdade and its fashion shops as well as the shopping center Amoreiras, all at walking distance. ... more   less
