Stayed here for 2 nights in March 2023. Relatively near the metro but be mindful of the need to drag luggage along cobbled streets. Clean, simple and cosy. Liked it when it can provide a good rest for us in between visiting sights. All amenities are to be requested at lobby so the toilet is literally bare with only towels.
Stayed 4 nights ate this hotels in March 2023. We had a comfortable stay and it was pleasant with a nice service. There are some shortages for this hotel however. Pros: - Located on Av. Liberdade, which is a classy area that is central and you can walk to anywhere in Lisbon. - The hotel is clean and room was done daily. - Trendy lobby with a nice quirky decor and cool stairs. - The bed is comfortable an dyou have two types of pillows. - The team responded to our reqyest for a balcony and gave us a cute small private balcony o the room. Cons: - The hotel is basic but keep in mind that it is a Holiday Inn Express. Lack a bit of character in my opinion. - Breakfast in included but it is basic with mostly carbs only. Though the quality of them are great. - The bathroom is cold. If you go out of shower, you will feel cold if you dont wrap your self with towel. - No electrical socket near my bed, only near my freind on other side and the desk on corner. That was very annoying. - Some rooms have a shared big balcony. Don't know how safe is that actaully (at least fro me). - When I got a balcony room, I signed a responsibility document, which I found very weird. At the end, it was a nice comfortable stay and enjoyed it. Nothing so memorable thus I would like to try other properties maybe if I was back to lisbon. …
stayed here for 7 nights, staff was very accomodating and helpful, room was clean and breakfast was terrific. minor issue was that the room was very hot not sure if cooling was working otherwise very happy with the location and proximity to things that interested us historical centre is about a 20 minute walk but we didnt mind and if necessary the train is a 2 minute walk
My room had an adjoining door that would not lock from my side. When I called the front desk, I was told that I would have to come down to the lobby to report it. Housekeeping(!) went to fix it, could not, and then disappeared. I had to go back down, where I asked for a different room. Bruna told me that the hotel was sold out and I couldn't move to a different room. She informed me that it was "impossible" for the door to be opened from the other side, that it was welded. She was condescending, rude, and argumentative. I went back to the room and knocked on the door to test it. A strange man immediately unlocked his side and opened the door into my room. As a woman traveling alone, I was horrified. I went down to the lobby yet again, where Bruna told me they had no other room available. At that point, a different clerk checked his computer and gave me a different room. I will not be going to the Holiday Inn Lisbon City Center again.…
Had a great stay here. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable, little balcony was an added bonus, Staff were friendly and helpful. Free Breakfast was great. Only dropped one star because I probably wouldn’t stay there again but only because of the location, there were plenty of restaurants but no places to get a drink or shops (apart from Gucci and Dior and we were outside that budget 🤣) . But very close to the metro and centre were plenty of tour buses go from.
I stayed here for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable but difficult to heat - the Air Conditioner didn't appear to be reverse cycle and only cooled, didn't heat the room. The Hotel was well sited not far from the City Centre. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good choice.
Great hotel. Well located. Terrific breakfast. Helpful staff. Nothing not to like. Easy to get taxis both from hotel and from airport. Decor rather like the IHG indigo group. Lovely view from our room, which was a standard one.
We found this hotel online through Trip Advisor & couldn’t have been happier with it. Location was great- in walking distance to restaurants & shops. Ideal location! We were very happy with the updated room & very nice bathroom. The breakfast was excellent & served in a big spacious room. There was not a bar but beer & wine were available in the lobby. Highly recommend this hotel and at such a great price
Fantastic 3 night Pre-cruise Stay, great location, complimentary breakfast and staff. One thing no one seemed to mention was getting here from the Airport! I looked at various options but as we arrived Sunday evening decided to jump in an airport taxi. We used our credit card, so when in the taxi line tell the person sending you to an available taxi that you wish to pay this way and they make sure your taxi takes card. It was 25 Euros all in for 25 min journey, £20 so compared to London really cheap. Friendly welcome when we arrived at the hotel. People say it is in a really lively area, having lived in Paris, not sure I would say lively, makes out it is really noisy. We had a room on 6th floor looking out to the courtyard, no issues with this, no noise at all, room perfect and spotless. It was great location for sightseeing, just a 20 min walk to centre and the Rossio Train Station where you can get the train to Sintra. There is a fridge in the room. We got an Uber the morning of the cruise 7 Euros. …
Two night stay for business mid-November. Loved this hotel. It is a beautiful building in a lively area of the city and close to the metro, supermarkets and restaurants. Room was a reasonable size and had tea/coffee, a fridge and a safe deposit box. Bathroom was a reasonable size, only basic toiletries, but wonderful big, fluffy towels and a great shower. Breakfast is included, and was fabulous! A great choice of fruit, bread, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, cereals and boiled or scrambled eggs. The staff on the front desk and in the breakfast area are fantastic. The only down-side for me was unfortunately the WiFi, often quite slow and sometimes not working at all... Fabulous hotel and would definitely stay here again.
