We stayed here for a short weekend in January, we were visiting a relative at the IPO hospital and this hotel was excellently located for access to the hospital. The room was excellent and we ate Dinner 2 nights and lunch one day in the hotel. It was all very good, reasonably priced and really good value. We would recommend the hotel for anyone visiting the nearby area. There is little to see or do in the immediate vicinity, but Uber and Taxis can whisk you to downtown Lisbon for a few Euros. Would recommend the hotel.
We had a great view from the 8th floor, with planters outside the windows -- to have greenery, even small tropical trees, right at the window was surprisingly pleasing! The bed was firm and comfortable; the room wasn't too spacious but it was big enough. The bathroom was spacious -- but the water went hot and cold, and be *very* careful getting out of the shower -- I cut myself on the metal edge of the lip under the shower door. The wardrobe shelves and doors were dark wood and of a pleasing design that seemed to be from an older time, and the whole effect was one that would easily draw me back to stay again. The restaurant offered a comprehensive and tasty breakfast, but we found the dinners somewhat variable. And it was truly remarkable how quiet it was, when we were under the flight paths!…
We stayed here over the Christmas holidays for 2 weeks. First time in Lisbon. Staff were very friendly/helpful getting us to where we wanted to go on the trains. Our room was roomy and clean. The breakfast was very good with a large selection of pastries, fruit, juice, breads, cheeses, etc. The eggs were the only thing I just couldn’t stomach. Hard boiled would be more palatable. We were on 7th floor and at night you do hear plane noise and metro noise under the hotel, but bearable. Hotel is right outside Blue Line Metro station. Grocery stores down the street as well as a train station. We were very happy to stay here and would recommend it to anyone.
We recently returned to Brazil after two stays at this hotel Very good location as they have a Blue Line subway station literally next door which takes directly to down town in a mof 10 minutes. Close by there are a number of restaurants and 2 supermarkets (LIDL and Aucham) and a minimarket Continente. A 10 minute walk takes you to the Sete Rios railroad station. The rooms are clean and well serviced and the front desk personnel are excellent as are the bell hops. Bar service is, however, slow as there never appears to be a barman on duty. One gripe I had to complain on 3 occasions that the refridgerator was not working before something was done.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean. As others have mentioned, the hotel is right in the flight path to the Lisbon airport. One flight pattern, landing to the north to runway 03, has planes flying over at no more than 2,000 feet above ground level (I'm a pilot, so I'm pretty confident it's close to that.) Fortunately, with the window closed, it was not that bad - it never disturbed our sleep, for example. The restaurant is off the charts good. The breakfast is good, but the dinner is outstanding. Everything we had there in a couple of visits was just remarkable. Do NOT miss the petit gateau for dessert. They have very nice house wines at very reasonable prices. The hotel is also within walking distance of several very nice restaurants. And the staff, to a person, was gracious and helpful - and always with a warm greeting when we walked past the front desk. Finally, access to the metro is maybe the best aspect to the hotel. That alone saves significant cost, as you can get to the airport or any part of the city via public transportation. And we did a 6-8 mile run from the hotel each morning which was easy to map out and completely safe. I think the only reason I marked it 4 instead of 5 was the lack of some of the typical amenities, such as workout facilities or such. I realize they have limited space; however, there may be an opportunity to partner with a local gym to provide guests access to facilities of some sort. Minor quibble, and I realize that if such arrangement were available, the price would probably be higher. This is a very good option on many counts.…
