From the second we checked in to the bed and breakfast it was clear we made the right choice for our accommodations This was our first time in the city and he made sure to detail all the wonderful places to see and his app made getting around and finding the best spot to eat completely effortless Breakfast each morning... We were so happy with our choice to stay at the ZuZabed! Everything was incredibly comfortable, clean, and a perfect location! Breakfast each morning was delicious and Louis and his team made us feel like family! We were sad to leave our view of the castle and look forward to coming back soon! It was our first time in the... Fantastic Hosts - made me very welcome. Breakfast was very good and the app / phone were bonuses. Totally recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon as the location is also great. I stayed in the garden room ? Only comment was if you are light sleeper I would opt to go higher up as street below can get a little noisy... More

Tucked away on a historical street know for such notable figures as Fernando Pessoa,is a little apartment with one of those old fashioned doors. The kind of famous green Lisbon door that you see many elderly  Portuguese women watching the world go by or perhaps exchanging friendly chatter across the narrow street to a neighbor.Yes I admit, we hung out the... I went to Lisbon with my son for three nights to see a band play at the Coliseum. I chose Zuzabed due to its proximity to the venue (and previous TripAdvisor comments). I couldn't have chosen better. The location is very central (though up a lot of stairs so beware if you have mobility issues). Accommodation is good but basic... More

Our apartment (top floor suite) in Rua Gaveas was perfect. It was comprised of a large living room/dining area, new bright Ikea kitchen with full sized frig, stove top and microwave, bathroom with tub/shower and bidet and lastly a big bedroom with comfortable queen bed. Ikea furnishings were all new and it was spotlessly clean & bright. The rental includes... More

Luis and his colleague Christina are the most gracious of hosts and treated us with such care and attention we have to return, just to see them again! The B&B and Guest House are both so incredibly located, nestled between Barrio Alto and Rossio, allowing for a short walk to many dinner options and Fado houses or the train, bus... More

This was our second trip to Lisbon and our second stay with Luis at Zuzabed B & B in a Terrace Room. A very nice and familiar B&B in the heart of Lisbon. Just walk out the door and decide, weather you prefer to turn left for beautiful restaurants and bars or to turn right for all the touristic attractions of the Rossio and other locations. Luis and his team are really passionate about what they do. Next time Lisbon, next time... More

A wonderful introduction to Lisbon. Stayed two nights to begin our vacation in Portugal, and we look forward to returning in for four more nights before we leave this lovely country. Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
