Stunning hotel with spacious rooms and a delicious restaurant (had both dinner and breakfast at Audrey's). Location is very quiet and it's located in the center of Alfama, so you're in a great spot to see the historic areas of Lisbon. We were well taken care of from the moment we checked in. Will stay here again if we come back!
One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The staff is extremely friendly and smiling, the rooms have a splendid view, the design of the rooms is in a welcoming and vintage style, but also modern. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant is the best in Lisbon! The entire location is clean and complies with all safety precautions. The hotel is located in the historic center, very close to all sights.
WOW. We stayed five nights at Santiago de Alfama to celebrate our engagment and were genuinely really sad to leave the hotel. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite on the third floor with the most incredible view of the Tagus River. The room was absolutely beautiful, cozy, and so lovely. The hotel staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you feel welcomed and comfortable starting off with a welcome drink of Ginjinha. Do not miss out on breakfast at Audrey's because the staff is so warm and the food is absolutely delicious. We loved the fresh fruit juices and the tasty coffees, and we were often so full from breakfast that we didn't eat lunch. The detox water in the lobby is such a lovely touch, and the hotel is so bright and airy throughout. The hotel is absolutely stunning and well worth the price given the ideal location to both Alfama and the Baixa, the luxurious amenities, and the very lovely staff. Santiago de Alfama was our favorite hotel throughout Portugual, and we cannot wait to return soon!!!…
We took a three-day mini vacation to Lisbon after my conference in Dublin in Jan. I loved every minute of it. I am a boutique hotel type of person and I am so glad I found this lovely place. The hotel's location could not have been any better. My room (probably the smallest room they offer) has a wonderful view of the river and the church next to it. The patio next door (on the third floor) is a huge plus. Most importantly, the people are lovely and go out their ways to be helpful. We arrived early and we were able to check in early. The people at Audrey's are so sweet. When we had to leave early to catch our flight, they offered us a nice pastry box to take with us. I generally don't go back to a place as I'd like to explore but Lisbon will probably be a place I will be back soon and I won't stay at any other place but Santiago de Alfama.…
The hotel was very well located in the old town. The rooms were clean. The staff were absolutely excellent. They were polite and provided a great service. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would probably go there again when I visit Lisbon again.
Beautiful little hotel with great beds. Super comfy and cozy. The location is close to castle sao Jorge and metros. Good restaurants nearby. Audrey’s at the hotel is great for breakfast and dinner! Hotel staff is nice and always available to help.
We booked this hotel's New Year's Eve package (two nights plus New Year's Eve dinner). It was a wonderful way to celebrate and welcome in 2023. This is a small, humble hotel but they managed to put out a fabulous 6-course dinner with an assortment of local wines. There were about 30 guests at the dinner -- an assortment of Portuguese, French, British and American. The hotel is well-located -- within the medieval walls of Evora but in a quiet location that is within walking distance of the central area and all the sights. The staff was very helpful and responsive -- they successfully got us a last-minute reservation at a nearby restaurant on our first night there, and provided helpful answers to all our questions. The public areas are comfortable -- we spent a rainy afternoon reading in their lobby, which felt like we were at someone's home. We booked one of their three suites, and while we had lots of space it did not feel suite-like. It lacked warmth and coziness. This was our only disappointment with our visit to this hotel. Despite this we would stay here again.…
From check in to check out this was a great experience. We stayed in the suite at the top floor overlooking the river. Everyone in this hotel is super friendly and helpful. We are also very grateful that our 2 little yorkies were not only allowed. They were welcomed. When we got into the room, there were 2 little water bowls set out for them. The room service food is the best I have had in a hotel for a decade. Bruno the mixologist in the hotel bar is an artist. The breakfast in Audrey's was tasty and so was lunch on the terrace. We highly recommend the Santiago de Alfama.
Loved, loved, loved this hotel! Rooms were beautiful, beds were comfy and service was amazing. We got to Lisbon after 10 days in Morocco. The hotel was a treat! Lana at the desk took care of our every need and question, Breakfast was delicious and it is served until noon. Hotel is centrally located. Be aware that our taxi from the airport and uber picking us up did have a somewhat difficult time finding the location, but it's worth it when you get there!
I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a beautiful old school part of Lisbon with on street parking. The beds are so comfy and the breakfast is Amazing. The options are huge. The best thing about this hotel is the staff though. They are so lovely. Totally warm and welcoming which would definitely make us stay here again. Thank you
