If you want a quiet nights sleep and someplace with easy street access and parking, then look farther out. The clubs stay going until dawn and getting to this guesthouse, well it's not there fault, but it's location doesn't make things easy. Now breakfast, that was very nice. In fact, the room was no less than I expected also, but...

This was by far one of the nicest places I stayed on my trip. It's not an amenities thing, just an atmosphere and friendliness thing. It was an old Monastery. It has an amazing view. They sell water and store baggage. It's in a quiet area. The staff are super helpful. The accommodations are very clean, bright and pretty. The...

It is true that it is not the best place if you have mobility issues. However if you have legs and are willing to use them I highly recommend lavra. Great views from terrace, querky and interesting building. Wonderful staff and central to almost everything. Great local restaurants, full of locals. So cheap too. Lisbon is captivating and you will...

This Guest house is built in the former residence for nuns and is right across the Street from an old church. It is not easy to get to. There is an underground parking about 300 metres away, but once you are at the hotel, it is not easy to get back to. If you don't plan to get the car...

We found this hotel clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Only con is it is up an extremely steep hill. If you have your metro day pass there is an elevator tram which can take you up the hill for free, if not it is €3.60. If you have young children or are elderly or have any issues with walking,...

I thought I had booked Lavra GuestHouse for my first night in Lisbon, but I had made a mistake in my booking, and had mistakenly booked us there for a different night. My mistake, and an utter surprise to me when they didn't have us listed for that night, a Saturday. We had been up for more than 24 hours...

Lavra Guest House was a pleasant surprise. Our room on the second floor (room 206) was not big, but very bright and clean and with an amazing view of the city. Just outside our window, there was a communal terrace. We were concerned it would be noisy at night, but it turned out the terrace closed at 22 hours. The...

“No lift in the guesthouse, Best are superior rooms facing lisbon from upward position looking at the terrace never too noisy.”

“Aks for a room with a view. The ones facing east, from the second floor up. The ones facing east have a view of the city. The ones facing west seemed to be bigger, and are facing the street, which is not at all busy – although there are cars passing through it. There is no A/C, but in a breezy city like Lisbon, that is not a problem in my view.”
