Nice quiet neighbourhood but can be a bit difficult to find especially at night. Staff were helpful. Car park outside hotel but may fill up if you come late. Good place to break a journey - in our case Setubal was a stopover on the way to the Algarve. There is outlet shopping about a half hour away by car.

Friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Good parking facilities right outside the hotel, for free. Walking distance to restaurants, 10min. Affordable price makes it a good Choice in Setubal!

The most remarkable feature about the Hotel is the friendliness of its staff. They make an effort to make you feel welcome at the Hotel, and that makes a difference, inclunding the "home-made" style breakfast. The location is convenient, it is fast to get to from the highway, and close to the train station. A good place to explore the city and the surroundings. The free wi-fi in the bedroom is a strong advantage for the price they charge. The mattress is not very confortable though.

Mistakenly booked this instead of a hotel in Lisbon but no regrets. Room was spacious for 3, included breakfast was very good (especially in free singjng), staff all round were very helpful and welcoming. Room was clean and to be honest, beds were almost the best we've ever slept in. Absolutely recommended.

We booked the Arangues in early January based on price (37 euro including breakfast) and convenient location to where we were travelling. We found a free parking space quite easily close to the hotel. The receptionist was very friendly, helpful and quickly booked us into our room which was clean and had all the essentials including a reasonably comfortable double bed. Being January it was cold at night and the aircon unit took some time to bring the room up to an adequate temperature.

The breakfast was also adequate with a good spread of only cold fair but plenty of it. The waitress seemed very happy in her work as she sang joyfully for our entire stay in the dining room.

Yes, a very adequate hotel and if the need arose we would return but only for a short stay.

Cheap hotel, about 35eur, but is old, furniture is old and broken in some rooms, even light bulbs don't work.
Only has a small bar. There are better choices (cheaper and higher standard) and better located (near restaurants and nightlife).
WiFi in rooms hardly works. Needed to use FON from neighbor to be able to access anything.

It's a city hotel, clean, quiet and with easy parking nearby. The location is within the city, but a little out of its center and for those unfamiliar with its location, is a bit tricky to get there, and i recommend using gps.

The hotel is close to the train station and a few minutes walk from the old town and main tourist area. Breakfast is simple and the rooms clean and adequate. The caring and friendly staff are the highlight.

We were looking for a hotel - not too expensive) - near the old historical center of Setubal (and also near the hospital where we had to go the following day) and found the Arangues.

It is nothing special at all, but the room we had was quite big, the bathroom small, but sufficient.
The air condition / heater worked perfectly, the internet unfortunately not (yet). Changes ahead as promised.

The breakfast normal for Portuguese standard.

But what has to be said is that the hot staff was extremely polite and very pleasant, trying to please the guests, giving valuable information about Restaurants and places to visit around the Hotel.

On our next trip to Setubal we will choose again this Hotel.

We stayed here for a week and it was lovely. We went end of August/beginning of September. The room was spacious and clean, also had a nice view (we were on 3rd floor facing Palmela, the next city, and could see the castle lit up). Was a quiet and central area, good night sleep and felt safe, and close to city centre, restaurants, cafes and beaches. The staff were very friendly and helpful, all made us feel so welcomed from receptionist, cleaner to breakfast staff. Even when we overstayed by one night (I had a terrible cold), the staff were able to book us for another night without a problem and made sure I felt better.

The breakfast was perfect, bread rolls, croissants, jams, butter, ham and cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee. We went in summer so didn't feel the need for any hot food as it was round 35-40 degrees! City centre just round the corner and beaches are close by too, you have option of 3 beaches, the city beach which at the end of the main Avenida Todi, or bus ride to Figueirinha (they had summer buses with no roofs which make a great ride through the hills to get to the beach, and third one is Troia which you can get a ferry to (but make sure you get the passenger ferry not the car ferry as otherwise you'll find yourself on the other side of Troia instead of the beach side!) Setubal was a bit quite, but in September started getting busier (guessing people were coming back from holidays and back to study). Palmela is a bus ride away and ha a wine festival which we went to and there was a seafood festival in Setubal.

The hotel also had a swimming pool and message services, but they did not seem to be frequently used, we had a look and there was no staff there at the time and it was closed. Also price is bit hefty to use gym and pool, think it was like 15 euros per day. It's a shame, they should make that price weekly at least, but then again you can go to the beach to swim. Also, not much choice for english tv unfortunately.

All in all, we had such a lovely experience here, we were quite sad to leave.
