I went to Há Mar ao Luar to spend a quiet weekend with my friends (we were 9) and everything was perfect. I will point out some of the things we liked, but will probably be unfair and leave important issues behind.... The property has the main building and 3 independent house/cabanas, all of them very well decorated and focused... More

We stayed in our own little house with a covered veranda, all with the same fantastic view for miles. At night there were fireflies and the friendly dogs barked. We felt cosy and had everything we needed with crisp white sheets on the very comfortable bed. Breakfast of fresh bread and coffee was brought to us each morning and there... More

Thank for your stay and for your comments we think is very helpful, the dogs are a problem and we can not control, but we always try to inform the neighbors to be more careful. Looking forward to see you at the Ha Mar ao Luar. Best regards Luan Sardinha. More

What a find! Gorgeous little place. We stayed for 3 night off season in September in the windmill for our honeymoon. Decor slightly dated but just added to the charm. There was a lack of a chopping board and cooking utensils like no wooded spoons. This could be very easily sorted and i don't imagine anyone actually cooks there in... More

If you would like a really quiet holiday, in a beautiful setting, this is the llace to go. Our apartment was spacious and clean, and the view stunning. This is the sort of place where your privacy and desire for solitude is respected...the staff are never intrusive. Excellent, discreet service, a lovely pool, and a short drive to fabulous beaches... We spent a night in a windmill, how fabulous ! The windmill is on top of the hill, the view is insane and you ll be all alone up there ! The windmill is dated which is why you wouldn't wanna spend more than a night in it ! Go if u like the idea but don t expect fancy... More

We booked this, last minute and on a whim and were told that the blue room was the only room available for our stay at €100 per night. This is a true 'retreat' perched on top of a hill overlooking Setubal. The standard of the rooms is superb, spotlessly clean, kitchenette, microwave, fridge, 2 ring hob, Telly and satellite (2-3... Well where do I start, I was nervous at first booking this windmill for a week but from the second we arrived the welcome was outstanding from Maria and the family. Showed us to our rooms, told us everything about the area and surroundings with any questions asked were answered with excitement and knowledge. Girlfriend ( now engaged) was blown... More

We stayed there 1 night, whilst it was a bit complicated to find the room was very nice and the complete team were very accomodating. I personally would rather consider the ha mar ao luar more of a b&b than a hotel. Cannot fault it though.

Quiet place, up in the Hill, with a stunning view. We stayed in the windmill and were delighted: fireplace, nice living room, wonderful bedroom upstairs and we woke up with the sunlight, overlooking the ocean and fresh bread at the door. You need to self-cater and bathroom could be bigger, but then you can sit outside and have breakfast in... More

“Must stay in the windmill as it was super romantic, cosy with great views. Breakfast with fresh bread delivered every morning was amazing sitting out in the sun with private views. They even supply a BBQ if you fancy a night off from the great restaurants. The Pool, (a short 1 minute stroll past lemon trees ) from the windmill is also a delight as it's almost your own, very peaceful with also amazing views.”
