The hotel is outdated, the pictures look much nicer than real. On a compound quite away from any excitement. Food was quite tasteless. on a golf course. swimming area was ok. portion sizes for dining are small.
The Hotel is easy to reach, reception and restaurant service was satisfactory, it the overall room cleanliness and maintenance was bellow average. Breakfast variety was good enough and with plenty of availability.
I want to come back, for sure it was an excellent experience! Pleasant place to spend the weekend with your lover, really good people working their. I would say the only thing I didn’t like was the swimming pool temperature, but the Turkish bath was awesome!
The hotel is missing care, the carpets at the halls are full of tape, the inside swimming pool the water is cold, the sauna does not heat enough (the door is not locking well). The rooms are outdated, the phones are not working and the beds mattresses are very poor
We stayed at the Pestana for 6 nights to attend a wedding in Sintra. A number of the wedding party stayed here. It’s a nice hotel but could be better. Carpets were dirty and it looked run down in places. First 2 nights air con worked then it was switched off citing management decision to conserve energy. This made the room temp very uncomfortable and nothing to compensate for lack of AC nor any info to guests. Staff were generally pleasant except one lady who covered during the day, she was at times rude and unhelpful. Young lady at the desk in the evenings called Ines was wonderful and helped organise a room we could use for ironing and hair stylist…she always had a smile and was very polite. Breakfast was average…but they sweep your plate away faster than you can eat! It was rude and made us uncomfortable. Would not stay at this hotel again - really average between 2-3 stars.…
Over all the room was clean, comfortable but basic. No tea or coffee making facilities, no iron, no air con, no fancy toiletries, apart from shower gel, shower cap and a shoe shine. As we were part of a wedding party staying at the hotel we were provided with a room with an iron, not sure what the other guest did for ironing. The breakfast had a good selection of breads and a choice of scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. You could request fried or poached eggs. The staff is polite and helpful. The first night was rather uncomfortable as it was warm and muggy and the fan system in the room was not adequate. After that the weather turned cool so having the window open was enough. It's not far from Caiscai and there is a Lidl quite close which was very handy. All in all it was a pleasant stay and it served us well as a base for the wedding we had come to attend.…
A pleasant surprise, from the service, to the room, the restaurant or the support facilities. An excellent option near Sintra, with the deserved rest in a pleasant place. Close to access both to Sintra and north, but without the chaos of traffic in Sintra. To repeat.
Great hotel if you like golf and want some quiet time. Rooms are amazing. Staff is great. Good is average. Breakfast is not bad but can be a bit better. SPA is not a SPA. Horrible gym and very basic spa services. All in all I would highly recommend it if you do not want to stay just outside Sintra, love golf and want enough space to walk around, have kids and want a quiet vacation. Sintra is a must visit if you are in Portugal.
This place sells itself as a luxury golf resort near one of Portugal's loveliest towns. Well, it's not. It's just an average hotel and there's nothing special about it. It's also a bit overpriced. Honestly, everything is average from the pool to the breakfast to the reception staff.
The best Holydays pos covid 19, at Pestana Sintra. It was an Excellent week Friendliness of all hotel employees Wonderful breakfast, pool, sun I did fysio massage and i got much better physically and psychically. To repeat shortly
