We found the hotel via Tripadvisor. They helped us park our car in front of the hotel. The service was excellent. The willinness to assist was above expectation. The breakfast was rich. They tried to assist us in all aspects. Very recommended.
We drove, which made it a bit complicated to find the hotel and parking. Once we found it, one of the workers simply ran out to where we were temporarily parked and moved our car to where it needed to go. The hotel was just as accommodating and it was very nice with a great location. Breakfast was very nice with delicious mushrooms along with the ham/bacon, eggs, fruit, pastries and a very wide selection of cheeses. If you do decide to stay here with a car, ask them for explicit directions, or like us you may take an extra tour around the city.
We just loved this little boutique hotel as the room we had came with a beautiful french window overlooking the twin spires of the National Palace. One could just sit there and gaze for hours. We visited in late May and the daylight there , especially in the morning was just breathtaking. Bed was very comfortable and room well lit. Loved the Escher inspired bathroom tiles. The room we paid for came with a buffet breakfast which was surprisingly elaborate. Definitely one of the highlights of the hotel as they featured an amazing display of sausages, salmon , cheeses and local pastries. I can’t say how pleased we were with the choice we made on this hotel. We hope to return one day in the future.
I cannot imagine a better location, facility or staff for visiting Sintra. It starts at the front desk and before you arrive. Andres and Evandra went above and beyond to help me arrange airport transportation (very good car service). They were full of useful information and recommendations. First-rate. We stayed in the junior suite which was nice as it provided a separate area for sitting and stashing luggage as well as a gorgeous corner view of the castle. Bed was great. Housekeeping missed a waste basket which wasn't that big a deal -- possibly because we were there during a rare lull in visitors, the last week in November (I highly recommend it as we strolled into every major tourist site with NO waits)! Breakfast is ok if not stellar, but the exemplary staff make up for any minor twitches. You cannot beat the location. Impossible. You can't beat this hotel, period.…
The Sintra Boutique Hotel is ideally located in the heart of Sintra. Andres was on duty when we arrived. He was very helpful, attentive, and informative. His hospitality helped make our stay even better. Our room had a view of the National Palace and we enjoyed watching the bustle of tourists that Sintra attracts even in the off season. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. The fresh papaya and passion fruit were a welcome feature.
